Trooper97 vlogs, discussions etc. will be allowed to continue in the new thread. That thread will not be unchained and I will work with the other LVL mods to keep it civil.

I personally am not going to allow a lot of the horrible posting that went on in the original thread to take place and I will be very generous with post deletions and bans if needed.

Posts the are overly derogatory, mean spirited, name calling (including using rude derivatives of names) , and demeaning posts towards any of the vloggers or posters in the thread will be deleted at the mods discretion. If any accounts persistently do this they will be banned or exiled from posting in this thread. In these cases we may issue a warning first.

Accounts that are used only to or substantially to troll post in this thread will be banned.

No personal family information or situations allowed in the thread.

OK Vlogger Thread, we are going with some new parameters to try to make this the POSITIVE vlogger thread that it is supposed to be, not the AIDS vlogger thread where a few loonies ruin it for the rest. Note that 'positive' does not equal 'only positive', it means anything negative being said CAN'T be namecalling or wild, unsubstantiated speculation regarding any and all vloggers. I mean... good for them. I only wish them well.

The way things are going we may be able to get an entire series out of Rice whining about this hand. It's incredible given how standard a beat it is. The only remarkable thing about it is how badly he played it and his terrible reads. Talks about how nitty a player is but doesn't somehow understand that a player who is nitty isn't folding his top set there once he's hit. He also talks about how big his bet was when it was nothing of the sort.

But it was a MASSIVE pot haha.

As funny as it was when he ran back to his room at the horseshoe from Caesars (I think) after an hour or two when he lost a hand, in this case he drove all the way to Red Rock, lost a standard hand and left within half an hour. That's even more redicilous.

He seriously thinks NL is just about getting AA or KK and stacking someone. So when he gets AA he feels entitled to a nice pot. When someone takes his AA and drops it into the toilet the meltdown ensues.

I am thinking about rolling over to Red Rock today just to prove him wrong...

by Koshka k

Ya he doesn't understand that just cause someone may be scared to put money into the pot themselves, doesn't mean they won't call off big bets if they are strong.

Another flaw Diesel has is putting a lot of people into the same box. He assumes everyone that watches his vlogs has never played poker in Vegas cause otherwise they wouldn't question him on the adjustments he makes here. Everyone that questions him on anything is miserable.

It's amazing the ego he has and how much better he thinks he

It never entered Diesel's mind that he played the hand poorly, or made a mistake on the bluff. When I get completely buffaloed on a hand, the first thing I think about is where I made a mistake(s). He'll never get any better unless he can admit he makes mistakes.

Today's video is just a repeat of yesterday's video with slightly different words. He hasn't seemed to think about the hand at all. It's just Vegas. Vegas made him lose. Vegas is the only place this could happen.

Someone in the comments said those spaces cost $2500/month, plus they are buying expensive equipment. 1 year lease.

Do they have to buy commercial-grade equipment?

Do they have to comply with licensing and inspection requirements since they are in a designated commercial kitchen complex?

How many of their neighbors are going to start their own candy business?

Why are they paying a premium to be close to an entertainment area without a storefront instead of out of town?

Should they have bought a house with the monthly apartment and kitchen rent and made improvements they would own?

Did anybody catch that ElD is one of those dicks that tries to get off the plane first?

You know he's in the back of the plane

Rice is many things... Being a 'Dick' isn't really one imho.

He's probably one of those people that stands in the aisle for no reason the second the plane lands.

well, I mentioned losing AA vs KK vs JJ aipf earlier in like $1200 pot when J rivered, that was this year at Red Rock.

maybe something in the water there

The Commercial grade equipment is large so they can make huge batches. Apparently, they already have some big event they will need to make a bunch for. But it will be 2 weeks to get one of the pieces of large equipment and still need health and fire inspection.

Maybe eventually they can get the storefront and then be close to the area.

They have moved from cottage sales to a full commercial license allowing them to sell wholesale to stores and ship nationwide, that requires a commercial kitchen and license.

Wonder if he's still going to schlep all over town doing deliveries? That's gotta kill their margins, at least for that particular sale.

It's the player pool... here is my 2/5 story from red rock.

1800 effective
btn: I wake up with AA.
Cutoff (mad Russian) raises to 50, I reraise to 175, Co calls.
flop 7/5/10 rainbow... Co bets 125, I raise to 275, CO calls
turn K... CO bets 350, I go all in, CO calls
river is a 2 and CO says 'oops... I think I got there' and turns over 5/2o for 2p and takes it down. Later he says to me that he put me on AK... 'why did you call an all in then'?

it's the player pool and I want those players everyday I am sitting at the table.

Did you have a meltdown and storm out of the casino?

by borg23 k

Did you have a meltdown and storm out of the casino?

Hahahaha... another day at the office.

"Everything about this guy SCREAMS if he doesn't have a royal or better he's terrified to put more than $17 in the pot."

reviews notes:
pre: villian opened, then called raise to $25
turn: villian bets $30.
river: villian bets $30

"Bally's -- which you probably call Horseshoe..."

yeah I wonder why I do

by the way, I imagine Red Rock raising the rake to $6 is around their every hour high hand promo offered around the clock

but according to El Diesel, no one in Vegas, especially at Red Rock, ever wants to put money in the pot. "if you don't play in Vegas you wouldn't understand this."

Rice explains one of the main reasons he was so frustrated was because it would be almost impossible for him to get unstuck in that game, even if he played all day. Apparently anyone who plays in Vegas should understand that...

What everyone understands is that he only wants to play AA and KK, and even then he often just picks up the pot preflop for a few blinds at best. Rice realising how unlikely it is for him to win 60 BBs shows just how much of a nit he is and how low his hourly must be these days.

Most any other player loses 60 BBs they just dust themself off and have a decent chance to win it back within the next hour. I know myself Ive been into a game for 6+ buy-ins and won it all back plus profit by the end of the day. I guess I just don't understand the perilous nature of the situation for a player like Nomad who is literally just trying to grind comps/promos to survive.

"it was extra frustrating because of how well-thought out it (my strategy) was.
earlier he limped with pocket jacks, this time he raised preflop with Queens."

you're right, I don't understand it either

maybe, MAYBE.... queens are better than jacks? going on a limb there

these videos just keep getting better

higher rake = try to win more hands?

don't know why anyone needs to be so obsessed with rake. it is what it is. don't get into limped pots, try to win big pots, if you don't win enough pots rake literally doesn't matter

Rice acts like he doesn't usually limp call JJ preflop then check fold 85 percent of flops.

At least the old guy is playing for fun. Rice calls himself a pro but is petrified or swings and has a ton of holes in his poker game and has a meltdown over nothing. It's pretty comical at this point.

In a hurry to nowhere.

"it was such a good read in that hand..."

other than the part of ELD trying to bluff him off top set for 31BB

I expect ELD to block my comments but I can't help myself
