Diesel placates his youtube mutant super followers so much that the Josh Morrow commenter could get Diesel to eat dog food and take shots of high-proof liquor, if he just keeps asking.

-600, ouch. Meanwhile think blue poker is making getting paid, tipped, free EDR access, watches sports whilst working the sportsbook

Hey all:

I was shocked, simply shocked by the progress that Diesel made when he was dealing. He appeared to be engaged, a good dealer, willing worker, and making the big time $$$. I think his end result was that he was making over $30/hour! He was also able to work MORE than 40 hours a week. His physical appearance was much better than what it was previously. He was presentable, he didn't look freight train riding hobo.

Now that he has gone back to full time gambler, his income has been cut by 75%+ His beard is growing & appears that he getting ready to "ride the rails".

He has taken a huge hit to his bank roll playing 2/5. His psyche has also taken a massive hit with that 60BB beat. I think he has done 3 videos on that beat.

Diesel is really gambling with his life/future. It appears now that poker is getting progressively worse for players. That is, the number of rooms is contracting, the player base is shrinking, the house rake is going up. Here in the Detroit market, 2/4 rooms have closed this year. The rake is now at $6+$2, with the house rounding up. Dealers are also very bad at math, and frequently take MORE rake than they should. Dealers are also bad at understanding the rules & house policy (frequently they rake unanswered bets). So 1/3 has become unbeatable. This is doubly bad, as the game is so bad, players are dropping out. Thus the customer base is shrinking as time goes on.

I don't think poker will ever leave/shutdown in Vegas, but could 1/2 or 3/4 of the rooms shut down in the next few years? Could 2/3 of the player base drop out OR cut playing time significantly? IF SO, what is Diesel going to do? How will get legitimate employment elsewhere?

Sure, he could also unload trucks or work the fryolator at White Castle....but I think he would probably be homeless before he does that.

Diesel is snatching defeat from the jaws of victory. He should go back to dealing full time & play 1-2 days a week at 1/3. Keep expenses low, learn how to invest, and build up his passive income.

The future ain't going to be getting any easier.

He should move to Texas.

But he never will because he would have to pay $10/hr + to sit there and fold and he would play 6 way pots with Texas ranges that would take him 3 years to figure out.

Plus no comps and no free rooms. But he could also deal and make more than in Vegas.

Alas he hasn't even visited the state since the post-pandemic boom.

Maybe we need a White Castle Challenge since it is next to Harrah's at Casino Royale. Celebrity chef ELD can check out at 1 pm Friday for late Diamond check out work at White Castle until check in Sunday 10 am for early Diamond check in. Three days of daily overtime per Nevada wage laws. Plus he can give a master class on pocket condiments.

I salute you! That is an excellent idea. If there ever was a place to do a master class on pocket condiments, White Castle is the place to do it.

One negative is that I am pretty sure Diesel would have to severely trim back the beard, neck/cheek hair.

Once he masters the intricacies of the Fryolator, he could advance to working the hamburger grill. That is going to be difficult, as it is a big step up in skill level & responsibility. You've got to cook the hamburger patties, put the onions on them, steam the buns, add cheese to cheese burgers & so on.

One step at a time though. Here in the Detroit area, White Castle is generally paying $15/hour to start, we are short on labor. I would imagine that Vegas pays more, as it has a higher cost of living?

If I were Diesel, I would be a dealer until I could deal no more. I worked a Fryolator in my teen years, you EARN your money doing that work!

He is wasting his time with this 1/2 pro nonsense. He should just deal full time but he refuses to see the writing on the wall.

He yammers on about bad run-outs,smugly brags about his microscopic swings while making a single digit hourly and having meltdowns over losing 125 dollars in what he calls a "massive" pot. Even beginning players are less bad than when he started playing. As you pointed out take is up, expenses are up. I mean if you've been playing for a decade basically full time and you can barley beat rubes playing for fun for more than poverty wages grow up and pack it in.

Maybe after a couple more months of this nonsense he'll realize he was making 4-5 times more money with no downswings and go back to dealing.

I mean seriously - who the hell works a job for poverty wages, then overnight gets a 4-5x raise doing something else they're at least competent at and then goes back to the poverty wage by choice?

Whats amazing is how cheap their rake is and that it would he a big rake increase for him.

And of course he won't play short handed where good money can be made.

When I first discovered Nomad about a month ago, I came across a video of his where he explains why he stays predominantly in Vegas even though he constantly mentions they have "the worst $1/$3 games in the country." Except for Strip views/walks, every single reason he stays in Vegas according to this video could also be found in Houston/Austin/Dallas. I asked in the comments why he didn't want to come to Texas to grind and possibly deal as many do down here successfully. His response? "I don't like the idea of playing poker in places other than casinos."

I can understand not wanting to play for big money in Texas. I have four friends who went out there for poker and 2 have been robbed. One leaving the card room and one was followed home.
I'm sure there is also more cheating in these unregulated rooms

But he's playing baby stakes nl and always says how bad the Vegas games are.

Moving to Texas if he's gonna keep playing makes too much sense so he won't do it.

by ibelieveyouoweme$80k k

Damn. I was way off. Lost almost $600 in 30 hours.

For his next challenge I suggest we all vote for him to play PLO (he won't) for a week. He'll implode on screen with some of the beats he won't be able to handle.

You would think after dealing mixed games he would branch out.

The rake system in Texas isn't good for a guy who wants to fold for hours

You can still play $1/2 and $1/3 on Texas. You can buy in for 100 BBs and still have playability

What about housing expenses for ELD? Is there a place to live in Texas besides a car for $50 per week all in including tax?

Damn
Rice lost almost $600 in 30 hours.

Rice lost $583 in 29 hours.
It's gonna take him the better part of a month to make that up.

by Koshka k

In the YouTube comments section is where the gold is found.

Imagine how many YouTube comments Rice erases before we can see them.
There's a couple of good comments and replies in today's Rice YouTube video.

Lol no kidding. Only playing Queens or better and quits if he is ever stuck half a buy-in

He could beat 2/5 over a large sample and make more money but he doesn't want to.

However he would consider taking a head coaching job for an NFL side if it were offered to him on a silver platter.

I for one hope Rice never goes away.
Where else are we gonna find someone with his 'admit no wrong' personality.

I can't wait for the next instalment of mean/stupid/wrong comments...

Yeah he brags how it was only 11 hours like that makes it better. But that's only because he quit the challenge with still 22 hours left to go after his brain imploded when he lost half a buy-in with Aces

His housing isn't that cheap. When he did his monthly expense reports his housing was anywhere from 600 to 1200 a month.

I found this comment pretty ironic

joke's on them, cause Diesel isn't trying to pay rent with his earnings either
