Trooper97 vlogs, discussions etc. will be allowed to continue in the new thread. That thread will not be unchained and I will work with the other LVL mods to keep it civil.

I personally am not going to allow a lot of the horrible posting that went on in the original thread to take place and I will be very generous with post deletions and bans if needed.

Posts the are overly derogatory, mean spirited, name calling (including using rude derivatives of names) , and demeaning posts towards any of the vloggers or posters in the thread will be deleted at the mods discretion. If any accounts persistently do this they will be banned or exiled from posting in this thread. In these cases we may issue a warning first.

Accounts that are used only to or substantially to troll post in this thread will be banned.

No personal family information or situations allowed in the thread.

OK Vlogger Thread, we are going with some new parameters to try to make this the POSITIVE vlogger thread that it is supposed to be, not the AIDS vlogger thread where a few loonies ruin it for the rest. Note that 'positive' does not equal 'only positive', it means anything negative being said CAN'T be namecalling or wild, unsubstantiated speculation regarding any and all vloggers. Personal lives and anything aside from poker is OFF THE TABLE.

How does that make you any more money? If you win you make 9 more either way. Maybe go the other way and bet 11?

you'll see after you read a few more posts down

Diesel hits his flush on the river against his opponents top two. He knows villain will pay him off so he carefully calculates the pot and it is 39. He proudly bets 30 and quickly gets called. Diesel grins and is incredibly proud of himself for saving a dollar. Lol

Plot twist: dealer maxed raked anyways cause they don't pay that close attention to actual pot size like diesel. Diesel doesn't notice because he was too busy patting himself on the back for saving a dollar.

At $99, pot would be max'd out.

The Troopers should hire Rice as their first employee... you know, to do the books and make spread sheets.

A homeless attorney who lives in her car reports she rents a warehouse to store granola bars obtained from Costco to reduce her food budget. What she needs is a rice cooker:

Plus the warehouse is tax deductible since she ships out nomad products.

plenty of people, as evidenced by this thread, including you

You couldn’t be more wrong but I expect that from people who try to claim to be Alpha’s.

so you claim to be a prairie breeze? think you need to get back on your meds pronto, my boy

I'd say more than likely it was a mindset thing.

Penny wise and pound foolish; describes a lot of poker players. Going to great lengths being a nit just to save $1 here and there, but then proceed to blow half their bankroll in the pit or on strip clubs and hookers.

Someone needs to create a vlog showing that.

Pound Foolish?

Is Foolish a stripper?

Hard to get around the annoyance and time waste of forcing the dealer to make change, but I would absolutely try to minimize rake if you forced me to play 1/3 for a living. Poker players aren’t busy, they have time to think about these things. Figuring out an optimal bet size for a few common spots doesn’t prevent you from studying other things.

Playing many small pots in 1/3 is a good way to be a small winner/ loser. Max rake is the only way to play.

The dividends must be paying really well

They're not not paying well. Go Diesel.

ELD has a NY plate since that is where he gets all physical mail as reported in earlier video.

Rice wouldn't buy a nice car even if he was a multi billionaire. He would still be siphoning condiments, sausage meats and pocket bread everywhere he could. Just think of him as Warren Buffett but without any money.

LOL you’re exactly what I expected. A minnow with small man syndrome. Now hurry along or you miss your next ball tanning session.

It's amazing how clueless Diesel is that he can't understand not having large losing sessions is a bad thing. Diesel's defense is oh this guy thinks the goal in poker is to lose a lot of money. No idiot. If your goal is to win a lot of money and max out your win rate, that means you are taking almost every marginal +ev spot you can and pushing your edges which leads to huge swings, both positive and negative.

I mean he's friends with Herbs and Rye. Herbs has huge swings and not shockingly enough, bigger wins.

Nothing wrong with being an young OMC and playing low variance poker. Just understand it's far from optimal if your goal is to win enough money to retire like is Diesel's goal. Nope, Diesel shrugs it off with the smug grin and laugh as part of his mean, stupid, wrong comments.

Koshka +1.

I would add that it is kind of shocking to me how many solid grinders, part time pros or generally good players as a foundation but they still lack the understanding of these concepts. Or at least they are unable to preach what they know its correct on paper. Everybody wants to have big winning sessions where you win like 8-10 buyins or coming close to wipe out the table, but people dont want the other side of the coin wich is the pain of having big losing days.

My impression is the pain in having big losing sessions is just too much for many players to handle. So they adjust with leaving tons of money on the table playing a "lower variance style" thinking they are the smartest ever because they rarely have big losing sessions. Look at how bad our hero Nomad is handling losing in general, often less than a buyin or like less than 200 bucks before he is having a full meltdown on camera, its just off the charts bad mental game.

A good actionplayer in my games that always had both huge losses and huge wins in the games, he says something like remember that nothing comes through into a locked hand. You just need to risk money to win money, there is no away around this.

Someone needs to make a best-of mean, stupid, wrong comments ITT and submit them to El D to read for an upcoming vlog

exactly. he wears his small swings as a badge of honor when they're actually shackles. i've played with guys like this before. One mentioned sometime in the summer he could count on one hand how many times he'd been stacked all year and thought it was a brag.

In a week H&R will have 5 days with bigger swings than Rice will all year and they're playing the same stakes.

tf are you on about lol, tanning booths? are you from 2004 and got lost?

I'm going to stop responding to you cause you're clearly brain damaged and in full meltdown mode. Hopefully you have a friend or a family member that can help you

Diesel is incapable of seeing his own flaws and his flaws in the way he plays poker.

He genuinely thinks he's the smartest guy in the room everywhere he goes.

All his stupid mean tweets rebuttles give a look into how he makes arguments and I can see exactly why he didn't win his famous mock trial competition in law school.

He has such tunnel vision on weird technicalities and rules he makes up for himself, it is the reason his life is the way it is.

Remember when Diesel came to this thread as big poppa claiming he's Diesel's childhood friend and saying he was here to stay?

Where is bigpoppa??

He basically has to straw man his way through all these comments.

surely he knows the "selling quotes he thinks are ridiculous but are boring af" is a clear callback to his paid newsletter but his masterful lawyer brain figured out the perfect response where he goes hard in the paint on "quotes" meaning insurance quotes etc

also gotta love how he's like "i'm not even sure this is about me" - sure buddy, sure you don't think it's about you
