Las Vegas Poker Player Vlogs
Gobbo other Thread got closed by the mod said it doesn't belong in the House of Blogs, hoping we can have this one without Trooper talk.
This thread is to discuss local professional poker players on their journey. Please refrain from mentioning the local youtube celebrity who plays poker.

This now stands for this thread:
Trooper97 vlogs, discussions etc. will be allowed to continue in the new thread. That thread will not be unchained and I will work with the other LVL mods to keep it civil.
I personally am not going to allow a lot of the horrible posting that went on in the original thread to take place and I will be very generous with post deletions and bans if needed.
Posts the are overly derogatory, mean spirited, name calling (including using rude derivatives of names) , and demeaning posts towards any of the vloggers or posters in the thread will be deleted at the mods discretion. If any accounts persistently do this they will be banned or exiled from posting in this thread. In these cases we may issue a warning first.
Accounts that are used only to or substantially to troll post in this thread will be banned.
No personal family information or situations allowed in the thread.
Update April 2018
********************
OK Vlogger Thread, we are going with some new parameters to try to make this the POSITIVE vlogger thread that it is supposed to be, not the AIDS vlogger thread where a few loonies ruin it for the rest. Note that 'positive' does not equal 'only positive', it means anything negative being said CAN'T be namecalling or wild, unsubstantiated speculation regarding any and all vloggers. Personal lives and anything aside from poker is OFF THE TABLE.

A new update March 2019:
NO ****ING POLITICS!
Something I never understood was why broke-arse people like Diesel EVER buy some of the most overpriced food in the country.
You seem confused. The only time Rice eats overpriced food is when someone else is shooting. I could easily spend more on a single meal than his monthly food budget.
The valet of the Bellagio is on the lowest level of the parking garage. The self parking is at street level and above. The best parking garage for the Bellagio however is the Cosmopolitan underground garage which I am suprised ELD has not featured probably since he left town before the MGM tier granted for free parking at the Cosmo. The underground Cosmo garage one can walk to the Bellagio through the connector from the Cosmo to the Bellagio since the Bellagio garage is on the smaller side gi
This is wrong.
I play at Bellagio at least a couple times a week and the Cosmo parking garage on Harmon is a **** show on the weekends when they have concerts. It takes like 30 mins just to get in the garage.
Shipping department video. Everything is just so much work. I think if they are lucky enough to make profits each month, it will equate to about $5 and hour each with no OT and before taxes.
Oh, I missed the earlier video when he said that marble weighs 1000 pounds!
What are the chances they are even keeping receipts and calculating the cost of raw ingredients per unit sold and making sure product is priced accordingly vs "Ya $6, that sounds reasonable for marshmallows and $11 for brittle seems ok."?
Pman is selling 30% of his action at the Wynn wpt in 4 events. Only 29% left in all events. Get in while the getting is good. He's in Florida right now hanging out with his dad. I'm not saying his dad bought 1% to get the ball rolling but he probably did.

Nah, he still buys food on the Strip sometimes. Or used to. Plus, he bought Gatorade and like that at Strip hotels instead of Walmart.

His dad's buying the 70 not on stake kings

I think we saw him buy a gatorade a grand total of 1 time. Otherwise it was always via Caesars voucher drinks or free drinks from the employee dining room etc.
You need to re-watch his monthly expenses videos. Sadly he puts his monthly expenses breakdowns behind a paywall in his newsletter now. So I have no idea what the current figures look like, but historically he aimed for under $900 per month for rooms, and under $200 per month for food. When he did his "eat like a hobo challenges" he would easily get that number down much lower.
Does anyone actually sub to Rice's Patreon?

ELD had an episode where he bought a single order of fries from Bobby's Burgers in Bally's-Paris and then supplemented the calories with extra extra mayonaise and a few ketchup packets to make a full meal.

Let's be ridiculously generous and say they can somehow get it up to $10 profit per hour. That still has to be the hardest $10 per hour ever earned!
Talk about putting in maximum work and investment with almost nothing to show for it, other than minimum wage earnings. Only Trooper would do things this way, all just to prove that he won't work for the man.
He could easily clear $30 to $50 per hour dealing poker, with zero risk/stress/anxiety. But that wouldn't feel as sweet as thumbing his nose at the system while making $10 per hour doing so. Talk about a cautionary tale in where stubbornness and arrogance leads.
When ELD gets to NYC he should do a 30 day free hotel challenge at the Roosevelt Hotel. Since ELD speaks fluent Spanish, he can sign in saying he is from Argentina and then can get the free $350 debit card per week.

He gets more in free handouts from his parents. They also give him five vouchers for the 32oz Gatorades each day.
You guys need to step up. My boy, pman, has still only sold 1% of his available action on poker stakes. No markup...it's a steal.

Not only that but it's not like they can scale up at the same workload. If they get an order for 1000 pralines, they have to hand make 1000 pralines and the time cost for that.
It's not like it takes the same time to make 100 pralines as it does 1000 pralines.
And again, have they done a cost analysis on their product to make sure each item is priced correctly?
I used to think poker was a hard way to make a easy living but I was wrong. It's handmade candy making.
And has been mentioned before, where are they going to get more customers and what is their cost acquisition going to be? Their initial customer base was directly from Trooper's Las Vegas lifestyle poker channel. That's dead now. Copy pasting Sprkli's videos isn't going to grow the Trooper channel. Are they just going to rely on whatever customer base is left and farmer's markets? That's the plan?
Then there's the other side of it. Let's say business explodes beyond their current capacity. How are they going to handle that as a two person operation? Are you going to try to hire some random and pay them enough to help make candy? What's that going to do with quality of product? It seems they are meticulous which their recipe and the process to produce the candy. That third person will have to have the same passion and expertise and care that they have.
It's literally a business that has a defined floor and ceiling. It literally can't explode and generate huge revenue.
I don't know about anyone else, but the suspense of not knowing what casino Rice is at, is killing me.
I am happy to report, El Diesel has been found, safe and sound, at the Hollywood Casino at Penn National Race Course in Pennsylvania.
