This now stands for this thread:
Trooper97 vlogs, discussions etc. will be allowed to continue in the new thread. That thread will not be unchained and I will work with the other LVL mods to keep it civil.
I personally am not going to allow a lot of the horrible posting that went on in the original thread to take place and I will be very generous with post deletions and bans if needed.
Posts the are overly derogatory, mean spirited, name calling (including using rude derivatives of names) , and demeaning posts towards any of the vloggers or posters in the thread will be deleted at the mods discretion. If any accounts persistently do this they will be banned or exiled from posting in this thread. In these cases we may issue a warning first.
Accounts that are used only to or substantially to troll post in this thread will be banned.
No personal family information or situations allowed in the thread.
Update April 2018
********************
OK Vlogger Thread, we are going with some new parameters to try to make this the POSITIVE vlogger thread that it is supposed to be, not the AIDS vlogger thread where a few loonies ruin it for the rest. Note that 'positive' does not equal 'only positive', it means anything negative being said CAN'T be namecalling or wild, unsubstantiated speculation regarding any and all vloggers. Personal lives and anything aside from poker is OFF THE TABLE.

A new update March 2019:
NO ****ING POLITICS!
Today i could not bring myself to finish the Rice video. He is discussing hands from 2016, i mean come on dude are you serious.
Rice only discusses results and hand histories from his golden era, when he was earning over $10 per hour from poker. Nothing from the last 3 years worth of poker will ever be divulged on his channel. Anyone that questions him regarding this policy is just being a miserable hater!

1-2NL hands from 2016. There is an audience for this?
Especially in light of the fact that this result is prior to the Nomadic method which was only recently developed by ELD in 2022.
ELD was living in actual housing at the time likely eating at a table and not on the trunk of his car and did not have to grind promos and maximize tier for resort fees waivers.
The current ELD resuts are based in large part on the promos received and tier points earned instead of mere poker strategy which ELD has transcended as part of his Nomadic method.
It's probably worth noting that he didn't get close to achieving any of his goals, except for visiting 12 cities.
His lowest weigh-in was 236lbs and his poker hours per month was 133 (only including months where he played the entire month, which was less than half of the year lol)
The low hours is funny because he’s always preaching about how playing a high volume of hours is such an important way to overcome low hourly rate. He can’t even average 35 hours a week.

I can't even imagine the quantities of garbage he's eating regularly besides his bathroom cooking. He seems to walk a lot, doesn't really drink alcohol and he's still super fat .
Probably like some of his challenges where he eats a whole box of pop tarts every day and whatever other low-cost garbage he can buy. lol
ELD goes over his important goals such as $200 for food per month and 190 hours of poker per month and less than 221 pounds.
In 2025 ELD will be more judicious with his Nomadic destinations and include only places ELD has never gone before.
Less than $7 per day for food. I don't know how much sardines cost, but mayo packets are free, and rice is cheap. I'd probably get 3 Hormel microwave meals instead.

Which was a dumb goal. It was a cost center, not a profit center.
I suspect Trooper’s mom is gonna write them a big check when they get to SC to help them out. That was probably the point of that clickbait video which was obviously to make people think Trooper’s mom had died.
They should at least be doing something extra to bring in some more money. DoorDash or something for a few hours a day. They’re gonna be in serious trouble soon if this candy thing doesn’t turn around.
If they get a big check, they should buy a truck and deliver FedEx.

ELD is missing out on a significant free resource found in Nomadic hotels, namely ice from the ice machine. Instead of the rice cooker, ELD should be carrying a blender in order to make meal replacement shakes at a discount using the free ice and CVS $2 per half gallon milk.
diesel had a nice bluff in his recent vid.
If he does that once a week instead of once a year his hourly will soar!
oh wait nm, he's talking about a hand from the past
He seems to be a little more off the handle lately. He’s not as happy go lucky. I think the lack of four (holds up four fingers) free drinks daily at Caesars is getting to him.
He seemed to be doing so well with the dealer job during wsop I was really hoping he'd turn things around.
He was putting in a ton of hours and probably making 4-5 times as much dealing as playing. He also hates those pesky one buy in down swings.
It's not like his hourly playing is close to what he makes dealing or he's only been playing for a short time and thinks he can improve as a poker player. At some point you are what you are as far as a winner in poker and he's long past that point.

the 4 free drinks made him feel important in life, not being able to get a law job, being disrespected and underappreciated by all his former employers didn't matter because he was a VIP that could hand out fiji waters on command.
I genuinely think this was one of the most devastating things to happen to him in his life.
I'm surprised people watch his videos daily these days, his content is so boring now and he will never change. It's just the same recycled content over and over.
If you dislike Diesel then the best thing you can do is not give him views.
I don't dislike him but I don't find his vlogs entertaining anymore.
It’s been a multi-month crisis since that AA hand.

It's probably the 2nd most traumatic thing to have ever happened to him. The professors not following the rubric with the moot court definitely still in #1 spot. I mean that was responsible for him deciding he never wanted to practice law.
#3 would probably be the Red Rock AA massacre. That along with losing the drink vouchers is what led to him realizing that Vegas was no longer fit for purpose as a home-base for him plying the Nomadic method.
Wasn’t the Red Rock Massacre like a $160 loss? To let that uproot your life is really sad. He could probably benefit from a heavy dose of therapy. Somethings up with him.

It was the perfect storm. It happened in his first hour on the penultimate day of his hours challenge. He said that people who don't understand his frustration it's because they don't play in Vegas. Rice was adamant that it would be impossible for him to win that amount back even if he grinded hard for the next 10 hours straight.
Firstly that's irrelevant. Money that is already won or lost has nothing to do with the equation going forward. Anyone that calls themselves a professional poker player or professional gambler should be very aware of this.
Secondly, if true it is only because of his insanely tight play. He knows he only is playing AA which is just ridiculous. That's why it affects him so badly when he gets the one hand he is waiting for (AA) he gets the action that he wants, but still ends up losing. In this case it was even worse because he tried to bluff the guy off top set and he was livid when the guy had the audacity of not folding. See his last 2 videos for examples from 2016 when he ran successful bluffs lol
In Trooper's video today titled "The Hurdles of Starting a Business" he says if they didn't have to be at Enchant everyday selling then they could have made more than enough product. lol
They paid 4k to be there the entire time.
He says he makes the best brittle ever made; he challenges anyone to make it as good as him.
He says everyone in the business world is liars and cheaters, nobody does what they say they will.
He says he had to keep LT from losing it during this ordeal and he guarantees they will come out on top and be a success.
And anyone that is waiting for them to fail, has a long wait ahead of them.
