Trooper97 vlogs, discussions etc. will be allowed to continue in the new thread. That thread will not be unchained and I will work with the other LVL mods to keep it civil.
I personally am not going to allow a lot of the horrible posting that went on in the original thread to take place and I will be very generous with post deletions and bans if needed.
Posts the are overly derogatory, mean spirited, name calling (including using rude derivatives of names) , and demeaning posts towards any of the vloggers or posters in the thread will be deleted at the mods discretion. If any accounts persistently do this they will be banned or exiled from posting in this thread. In these cases we may issue a warning first.
Accounts that are used only to or substantially to troll post in this thread will be banned.
No personal family information or situations allowed in the thread.

OK Vlogger Thread, we are going with some new parameters to try to make this the POSITIVE vlogger thread that it is supposed to be, not the AIDS vlogger thread where a few loonies ruin it for the rest. Note that 'positive' does not equal 'only positive', it means anything negative being said CAN'T be namecalling or wild, unsubstantiated speculation regarding any and all vloggers. Personal lives and anything aside from poker is OFF THE TABLE.

He was on a hiatus and reveals in this video that it was due some travel as well as his gambling addiction. He discusses his baccarat habit costing him tens of thousands of dollars near the end of 2024. Candid honesty is always so refreshing to me in this sphere. I also think from a hand review perspective, his channel is one of the better poker vlogs coming out of Vegas. Seems like a legitimate winner at Wynn/Encore $2/$5 where he regularly plays.
i'd be careful with those stories though
it's very common for losing players to try to explain away why they aren't playing heavy volume, playing low stakes, don't have much money but saying it's things outside the felt
"I've been focused on studying so haven't put in the volume"
"I'm doing a bankroll challenge at 1-2 which is why i'm not playing 2-5 anymore"
"I just had a costly medical emergency"
"I'm only broke because i lose it all back at the pits"
way easier for people to invent an excuse or even admit a fault in something they don't pride themselves in than to admit that they aren't very good at the very thing they built their entire identity around to the point that they vlog about it

At the end of Rice's latest video he states that poker is now a really good way to make solid money, but not riches like it was before. He reports that in years gone by it was possible to make way more than you could doing anything else and one could make enough to retire within 5 years.
Hilarious the definition Rice likely has for the following:
Solid Money: Well under $10 per hour (consisting entirely of comps/promos)
Riches: ~$15 per hour (combined hourly win rate with comps/promos)

I find it really odd that rice failed in his goal to spend less than $200/month on food. His brand is built on cheap ass, i.e. white rice + canned tomato chunks and tuna, lifestyle. WTF?

My average home cooked meal is a airfryer roasted pork chop/chicken quarter with a side of premade mashed potatoes, sweet corn, and canned cranberry.

That's a guy with a family too. He should seek professional help before it's too late.
Maybe we need legal analysis from ELD but I would not recommended this for high level Nomads since the tier level is needed for Nomads and some legal problems with recycling the leftover credits of other players and it is better to just start at a machine with one's own money to avoid possible ban and one must use his own players card and money to earn tier at the slots.
He will most likely refer us to the landmark case of Finders vs Keepers.
For what it's worth, while I was briefly enamoured with being a slots AP I would see nomads routinely collecting the abandoned credits from slots. They never put their players card in or sat down and played. They simply pressed the "collect" button while still standing upright, and retrieved the slot ticket for however many cents had been left in the corresponding machine.
This Tropper97 is the absolute definition of a Las Vegas Loser - delusional, no education and/or business acumen, and will definitely (100%) fail, unless he successfully cons his GF into investing more money into a losing venture.

I find it more odd that he's overweight on only $200-$250/month of food. I know he hibernates at his parents' over the winter, but apparently he also has a very slow hibernation metabolism year-round. The dude is part bear.
