Caesars cxl's DEFCON for no reason, moved to LVC
https://forum.defcon.org/node/248358
DEFCON has been at Harrahs/Caesars for what, 25 years.
Another ****-ass move from the ****-ass [strike]Eldorado[/strike] Caesars operation.
Evidently Caesars has too many customers and doesn't want folks like me in their properties.
Happy to oblige. Plenty of other poker tourneys this summer besides WSOP.

Probably not at all related to the CET/MGM hacks from 2023.
Ironically if MGM and CET sent some of their employees to the con they'd likely would have fared better from the most recent incidents.
It's bizarre CET would not want 25,000 people entering their properties over the course of a weekend.
It's also possible some other convention with more money came in and took their spot, but that seems unlikely given the crazy amount of convention space in what is typically off-season for cons.

You can play the $40 daily at the Sahara after a session
It's kind of like responding to a terror attack by bombing a bunch of civilians. In other words all USA hackers and cyber-security enthusiasts have blood guilt for the actions of the russian ransomware hackers.
He didn't say bomb a convention full of hackers. Doesn't sound like a horrible idea though.
Define “for no reason”
Maybe LVCC gave them a better deal. Anyway, should be happy you’re no longer at an elderado property.
