Where are the best $5/$10 games in Las Vegas during the 2024 WSOP?

Hi all,

I'm heading to Vegas for the 2024 WSOP and want to play some $5/$10. Does anyone know the best casinos for $5/$10 in Vegas during the WSOP?

Cheers

Aria, Bellagio, Wynn and WSOP, maybe Venetian if running and or South Point/ Orleans! LOL

LOL so basically all the major casinos then. Are some better than others and if so, why? What are the pros and cons of each?

Are you serious about the Orleans? I'm actually going there for a H.O.R.S.E tournament one of the days I'm in town, and I want to play some $8/$16 Omaha 8 there too, but I wasn't aware they had any kind of decent $5/$10 games running.

any room in Vegas that offers $5/10 will have similar games.
the rooms on Bravo/Atlas that have more tables running 5/10 will have more variableness in their games.

Okay thanks, and are the games decent or touch in your experience? What do you mean by 'variableness'?

If someone found some gem of a game in a casino most people don't think to check why would they post about it publicly?

Thanks so much for this incredibly helpful input

He's right though. People are certainly willing to give insight and list pros and cons but if there was one game that was clearly better than the others, nobody in that game would talk about it before they left town.

That's especially true for higher stakes games but even for small stakes, for example while the Planet Hollywood room was still open barely anyone talked about them frequently having pretty good games during the day. That only changed once the room closed.

I'm only looking for insights and pros and cons of different casinos. Most ultra juicy whale games don't last longer than a couple of nights anyway, so it would be pointless to ask where I can find these in Vegas, and of course I wouldn't expect people to share that type of information.

Not true about PH, people talked about it all the time on here and at the tables.

What were you expecting? Why are you too lazy to check out Bravo and Poker Atlas? A lot of what you need to know is on those sites.

Poker Atlas only lists the games that are running, which is pretty useless information on its own.

I'm looking for input from people on the ground about which casinos have the best $5/$10 games in general, in terms of player pool, rake, wait times etc

More tables, more variables. You can have a tightish table and a loose action packed one. Might as well go to the casino with the most 5/10 running then table change if your game sucks.

That’s not true. It also tells players which games will normally run in a room. If also tells you the buy-ins. Different 5-10 games will have different buy-ins.

Listen dude thanks but I'm not here to nitpick and get involved in some kind of hair-splitting pedantic debate. I just want to know where the good $5/$10 games are in advance of when I get to Vegas.

Agreed, casino with the most 5/10 games is likely the place to be.

Thanks for the tip, I will keep that in mind.

Well I think the buy-ins are pretty important. I do think lower buy-ins tend to mean weaker competition. That would be where the “softest” games are.

Of course if you’re good enough, you might conclude that 5-10 games with higher buy-ins are better for you.

Bellagio is easily the best/softest IMO because of the 150 BB cap. Wynn and Aria play much deeper at 300 BB. I have done pretty well in Bellagio 5/10 over the years.

Great, thanks for the info. I've heard there are a lot of regs there but I imagine during the WSOP there will be a lot more fish in the $5/$10 games? How are the $5/$10 games outside of when the series or other big conventions are on?

FYI - Bellagio 5-10 now 2500 cap. Looks like they have a 5-5 game now with 1000 cap, not sure how often that runs. I’ll hope to find out next week myself

Thanks for the info. The rake is also absurdly good, timed at $7/half hour I believe. And in the 1/3 and 2/5 games the rake is capped at $5 (up to10% and 5% respectively). I live in Canada where GCLC Toronto and Playground Montreal cap the rake at $20. Not a typo. $20 - 4x the rake at Bellagio; an utter disgrace. Apparently if you can get comped rake at Bellagio playing 5/10 they take the fee down to $2 per hour, which is just out of this world, although I'm not sure how one achieves that.

bummer that must be new at Bellagio woof

Not a big NLHE player but word on the street is that you can find much better action at 2/5 around town than higher......

Yeah I've heard this too. Apparently the 2/5 match the stack games are splashy as hell.
