LV Trip report 1/26 - 1/31
Just got into my room at the Venetian. Was an early flight and got in an hour early. So my travel day is practically a full day.
Got unpacked and settled in. Probably gonna wander around a little and settle into some cash. I kind of want to plat the Wynn noon but my body clock isn't ready for that yet. I tried to sleep on the plane but just couldn't. Spent the whole flight in a half awake half asleep state.
Tomorrow I am definitely playing the Venetion 400 deep stack.
I am here and it's early but feel drowsy may end up watching football and dosing off to get my body clock right. Too early to eat yet but I bet you guess where I go 😀

Wandered around the casinos a little and went to Walgreens to buy a few essentials. On the way back to the room I took my first bubble craps shot. First roll netted a $91 winner so I gladly took that and ran!
Then I watched the first half of the Was/Philly game. I decided it had been more than 12 hours since my breakfast so I headed for the Cheesecake Factory. The spicy cashew chicken was outstanding as always!
For dessert I had the White Chocolate Rasberry cheesecake and it too was great.
Then I headed to V poker room and played cash for about 2 hours. I managed to beat that game for a profit of $16 so if you work out the math that's $8 an hour which is pretty impressive!
Gonna chill and watch the second half of the late game. Probably won't play again until tomorrow as I am dragging ass right now.

Crashed right after game last night and had what was probably the best night sleep I have ever had in Vegas. Slept for 9 straight hours but still awoke around 4am. I am still getting over a pretty nasty flu I had last week. I would say I am about 95% but still off just a tad.
Got cleaned up and took my morning hike. First morning I always check out the Bellagio Conservatory. If you didn't know its the year of the snake.
Then I headed back home for breakfast at the Grand Lux. First breakfast is always Eggs Benedict and they were great.
Now just gonna chill watch the news and market dip until the tourney later this morning. Plan to play V today then Wynn daily tomorrow and then V deepstack again on Wednesday. But a lot of that depends on how deep I go on any given day.
No plans for food as that is tourney dependant but hope to mix up my food choices a bit this trip. Probably grab some sort of snack pre tourney.

If anyone is wondering what became of the old Venetian poker room it is now the rewards center, stadium gaming and a slew of slot machines.
I will definitely make use of the stadium gaming as the cheap/live baccarat is a great time waster without huge risk and a chance to grind out a few bucks.

Decided to get a milkshake for my pre-tourney snack. Healthy right 😀 but I love milkshakes and have been craving one. Probably the first one I have had in 2+ years. Went to some ice cream place in the grand canal shops and got the caramel one and it was delicious!
Gonna wander around a little more until tourney time. I plan to check in a little late as it takes a while for these things to fill out. I probably won't be too long though because I got nothing else to do.

Uhg! First break 24.6k. Was doing okay until just before break had top pair run into a set.
Hope I don't bust before Langdon gets here. He's already well ahead of me 😀
Out! Was brutal. Ran it back up to 50k before running into another set. Then dwindled. Made my final fatal shove with 10k and A8. AQbeat that.
So far 71 entries but still 2 hours to reg. Haven't seen Langdon but not sure what he looks like. Wifi in v poker room is ass.
Gonna chill for while then hit some later this afternoon/evening. Not sure what I will eat later but it will something different from other trips.

After busting out I just wandered around for a while to stretch my legs and get some steps in before winding up back in the poker room to play cash. I never felt right in that tourney and couldn't catch a groove.
The cash went okay and after a couple of hours I cashed out for Plus 60 dollars.
I was getting hungry and had the taste for a burger so I went to the Black Tap for a burger and fries. It was very tasty.
Probably play some more cash tonight but first just gonna chillax with a beer.
It's only 730am and it's already been an eventful morning. I have decided to embrace my body clock rather than fight it. I was dragging last night and didn't play anymore poker. I did take a long boring shot at stadium baccarat though while I sipped a few beers. My foolproof system never kicked in and I lost $93 in a little over an hour. Came close to a score but kept getting slapped back.
So I went to bed early, slept great and got up at 4am. Dicked around the room for a while watched news and got cleaned up. Decided to try some early am poker. V had 2 games going. My table was pretty lively. Much more lively than the other cash I had played so far. Didn't really get much going until the Omaha bomp pot came along.
I'm not a fan of the bomb pots with a plan of hit hard or fold. I had 3346 and hit bottom set on one board and 2 pair on the other. Everybody checks to button who bets 10 and all call (I am utg). River comes and all the money goes in from 5 players including me. My 2 pair turned into bottom straight (meh) and my set of 3s looked okay (no straight or flush). River did not improve me and my 3s held for half the pot. But that pretty much ended the game as 3 players busted leaving us 5 handed. I played until my blind and then took my morning hike.
Was in for 300 and out for 429. I decidedto walk through the Wynn and Encore. They have snakes too!
Kept walking for a while then decided to get some breakfast. French Toast at the Grand Lux. Mmmmmm!
Probably gonna play some morning cash before heading over to the zwynn noon daily. I will be focused today. Yesterday I was mostly card dead but when I wasn't I played horribly. My head just wasn't really into and I made many fishy mistakes.
