WSOP questions????
Looking into scheduling my next LV trip. Usually go in spring (apr/may) but considering a WSOP trip instead. Not reallty interested in WSOP tourneys although I would likely play one if I go in June.
My question is about all the other tournies that everyone runs during WSOP. From what I understand during WSOP all the poker rooms run some sort of deepstack events. Are these better than the typical series that Venetian, Wynn etc run in the off season? Are the fields bigger? That is my main interest.

Do you want just one day or multi-day? Be aware of that when you research. WSOP has Daily Deepstacks. Officially they have three, but two of them are not that deep. They also cancel them when a big tournament is running and they don't have the tables. They're "same day" even though they usually don't finish until after 3 am. Orleans has 2 deep tournaments that run year-round - Friday evenings and Sunday afternoons.
If planning is poor by the rooms, they sometimes have long waits. This is the first year GG is running WSOP so it's anybody's guess how it'll go.

I'm mainly inyterested in how big the fields are on one day and two day events? Off season one days are lucky to get 100 and 2 day maybe 200. During WSOP is it bigger than that? And by how much? If I am a daily tounament fan who likes the biggest fields (I am!) is WSOP a major upgrade?

WSOP daily 1pm deepstack has fields in the 600-1000 range on weekends and 300-500 mid week. These are the largest one-day fields you will likely find in the $200 range.
There are a few WSOP bracelet events that are 2 day and will have several thousand entrants.

A good general rule is that everything is bigger during the WSOP. Stakes are higher. Fields are larger.
Not every poker room runs a series. Based on recent years, you can expect a series at Golden Nugget, Resorts World, Orleans, MGM Grand, Aria, Venetian, Wynn, and of course WSOP. That list is roughly sorted in from lowest buy-ins to highest, though WSOP is an anomaly in the sense of offering bracelet events as low as $300 and as high as $250k. Generally, Wynn and Venetian are premium series in the $1k+ range during summer. Aria was around $800 for most of their events last year. The others will tend to be between $200-500. Single day events at the more popular non-WSOP venues can easily hit 500+ entries.
Here's a week of one-day NLHE events in mid-June last year:
6/15/24 // Venetian $800 // 344 entries // https://pokerdb.thehendonmob.com/event.p...
6/16/24 // Wynn $1100 // 405 entries // https://pokerdb.thehendonmob.com/event.p...
6/17/24 // Aria $800 // 571 entries // https://pokerdb.thehendonmob.com/event.p...
6/18/24 // Resorts World $200 // 139 entries // https://pokerdb.thehendonmob.com/event.p...
6/19/24 // Orleans $300 // 283 entries // https://pokerdb.thehendonmob.com/event.p...
6/20/24 // Nugget $200 // ??? entries (looks to be about 400?) // https://pokerdb.thehendonmob.com/event.p...
6/21/24 // MGM $400 // 183 entries // https://pokerdb.thehendonmob.com/event.p...
This is just a random sampling to show some general data of what the stakes and fields looked like for some of these venues last year. Offerings and turnout can vary pretty significantly from day to day and event to event. If you are seeking something specific in terms of price point/variant/format, I can estimate which venues might be a good fit, but we don't have schedules for anything except the WSOP yet.

Orleans Friday night is a rebuy so is generally 250-ish entries during non-WSOP times, more like 300+ during WSOP. Never played the Sunday, but I've heard people say it's at least as good as the Friday.
At this point, Orleans' field size is limited by table availability. Nobody likes being an alternate.

In the good old days it was 2000+.
I confirm the statements above... the town is on fire during that period.
those RIO dailys were the nuts... first place could get to 35-40k at times.

This sounds exactly what I am looking for. Not really all that interested in actual wsop events but more of a robust daily one day events.

They're a kinda one-day, they usually go to 3 or 4 am.
If you run deep and think you have a shot at FT, go hard to build a big stack. The structure runs like Secretariat at the end.
If you are going to the WSOP around the middle of June, the best low buy in tournament is the $500 WSOP Salute to Warriors.
50,000 chips and 40-minute levels.
Also, the lowest rake of any low buy in tournament during the series.
10 percent.
I played the Salute last year. Great tournament. I will be playing it again this summer.
That being said, they donate $40 of each entry to veterans organizations. I don't know if that comes out of the rake or the prize pool.
In that price range, Colossus, Salute, and $600 Deepstack Championship are all phenomenal events to play.
Piggy-backing off this question, how does the general level of play differ around town during WSOP compared to the rest of the year? Is it noticeably tougher with more seasoned players in town? Or the same or easier due to an influx of dead money flooding the cash games after bonking an event?

I think the cash games are better in the first 5 months of the year before the WSOP. Plenty of weaker players in town and plenty of games to play. This weekend has plenty of games.
In the WSOP a bunch of serious players show up and there are way more pros in town than at any other time. Doesn’t mean you won’t find easy tables, and some weaker players will want to be in town for the WSOP too, but you can find good games when the WSOP isn’t in town.
IME, (if this question was being asked) the WSOP events are softer than the equivalent priced events at other venues.
but there are a ton of buttersoft tournies around
mr baseball...not sure how old you are? but if you're over 50...there's an approx 10 day 'senior's week' around the WSOP senior's and the events are incredible value and way more fun than the standard ones with hoody/air bud wearing regs and wannabes
lastly...follow Kenny Hallaert on twitter. (@spaceyfcb) he published and updates an incredibly useful excel sheet that lists every tournament and every price point from late May to mid July....as and when the series are announced
