That’s what I call a nice table draw! Seems like a great table to make the money, if not a great one to build a top ten stack.
Also pretty great to be in the event center - much less hectic atmosphere; more comfortable chairs; better dealers; guessing that tables will be breaking towards you so should be able to develop great reads.

It’s really no bother at all. I write the majority of the update on break, so I do very little at the table, when I should be observing hands. Certainly not more than I’d be looking at my phone anyway.
I have the opposite approach to TR’ing as rppoker. I think if I took down notes and try to compose later, I’d forget things. That’s why I try to get as much down in the moment as I can, for my own posterity looking back later.

And let me know if you have figured out which player is in which seat? Looks a bit confusing with two rows of 4 names, and then 1 player in the middle. Maybe 1-4 on the left, 5 in the middle, and 6-9 on the right?

don't underestimate those MN/ND/MT players. very competent, even if they aren't playing 5k tourneys regularly. $103K career hendon mob from $300 buy in events is a lot of deep runs

Didn’t sleep great, and woke up kinda early, but I feel okay this morning.
Jumped in the shower, then for today, we’re going with the cash games run pure shirt. This shirt has done spectacularly well for me in cash games, and it’s also the shirt I wore when I final-tabled back in February. By results, it’s the hottest-running shirt I own.
I have to be thoughtful with how I allocate any given rungood. Important decisions. I think it makes the most sense to front-load it, until and unless I get into the money.
Then I took a nice morning 25 minute walk to the IHOP.
Got my go-to IHOP breakfast, with the strawberry NY cheesecake pancakes.
A great breakfast, to start the day, for $34.

Don't overestimate people either. I always research my table draws but it's a double edged sword. Sometimes the guys with no Hendon are the best, and sometimes the guys with impressive resumes are terrible. Trust your assessments as the day goes on, you know what you're doing.
If their sample size of results are big enough, you can draw some more accurate conclusions by their finishes. Lots of mincashes and few/no deep runs tells you something, and if they have enough FTs you can make accurate guesses by how many 1st-3rd, 4th-6th, 7th to 9ths. That can tell you if they're more likely to be weak/tight or laggy, even if it's not a reliable indicator of whether they're good or bad at it. Buyin size can also give you a hint how nervous they may be today.

Oh and don't live blog in too much detail on reads and such during the day. I once found a guy's updates doing that at my table and absolutely wrecked him with the info.
Yeah, I’m in a group thread with a couple of my investors, and they have the same concerns with how much detail I’m providing about my reads and thought processes.
The way I see it, if I was on the feature table getting my hands streamed, an opponent could watch through that to get a better feel on my game.
It’s a trade off, with my approach. But as guys like my boy BigWhale have proven, I think I’m GETTING way more good information than I’m giving away.
And ultimately, I do truly love and appreciate everyone who posts or lurks in this thread. But this thread is as much for ME, as a monument to the internet, so I can look back and remember the moments, and emotions of something that’s deeply meaningful to me.
That’s also why I try to get as much raw, unfiltered thoughts down, in the moment.
