Vegas 8/20-8/23

Vegas 8/20-8/23

Headed to Vegas, bringing the gal and another couple. I am there 2-3 times a year, but this is her first trip in 4-5 years. Any tips on cheap shows? Probably hitting a Cirque and comedian or something. Also looking for a few decent restaurants on the strip (Italian - not Scarpetta, we have been there a few times) maybe Asian too since that is 75% of our crew.

Staying at Park, seeing 40% off some shows w/ MGM account, plan to play at Bellagio, Aria and maybe Wynn.

See you there! Thanks

Absinthe will always be my recommendation for a show, so long as you're not easily offended

Mother wolf , Sinatras, and Carbone are great expensive Italian. Buddy Vs is great italian American at a reasonable price. Superfrico is italian food with a show.
For Asian I like din tai fung, noodle asia, Zuma.

I'll be there Aug 21-24, planning on mostly playing cash and a tourney or 2 as it's a solo trip. Good luck and run good!

Well, if you see someone in the Bellagio with a Savannah Banana's hat, say hey! I love coke (and Capt Morgan)

Checking them out, thank you!

Lemongrass in the Aria is good Asian as well.

Absinthe 😉 Just so great. Better than Cirque IMHO. I've heard the mind guy at Bally's is really good. Visit the restaurant threads and do a search. Mother Wolf is supposed to be great (as is Esther's Kitchen, but it's off the strip).

I always here that, maybe the restaurant is better than the poker table delivery (that always seems to take over an hour), but I have never been impressed by Lemongrass. Thai is probably my favorite food, but it always seems kind of bland there. Not bad, but nothing to get excited about. We were tempted to try the Lotus of Siam. We went to a hand pulled noodle place off strip last time my gal was with me and that was really good.

Agree. I would not eat at Lemongrass if it weren't delivered to the poker table. I do enjoy it, but there are better options. Maybe it's one of the best "on the strip."

I did get Lemongrass at the poker table last year and was also not terribly impressed either.
fortunately there are hundreds if not thousands of Asian restaurants in Vegas to try

I worked for coca-cola for 15 years. Love coke zero. Lol

And I like their caffeine-free. Nobody else makes a caffeine-free cola. Too much caffeine triggers multi-day migraines in me.

You should seat in the front row then 😀

Las Vegas is constantly evolving, which is one of the reasons so many people enjoy spending time there. Beyond the casinos and entertainment, the city has become a popular destination for weddings, corporate gatherings, and special events. If anyone is planning an upcoming celebration, researching an Event venue Las Vegas visitors recommend can be a great starting point. There are also plenty of options for a Banquet hall Las Vegas event planners use for everything from private parties to large receptions, making the city a surprisingly versatile destination.

+1 on Absinthe. Have fun!
