Las Vegas Fine Dining Thread
Hey,
So I'm compiling a list of places I need to go to, never been before but I have so far been told that we should hit
Is it doable for just drinks at Nomad Library or do you have to eat?
Also, unrelated, any review of E?
I've been there 3 times. It's a great experience especially if you haven't been before.
I can't quickly find my initial review, but this is from my 2nd time there.

Leon has also been as has one other poster (sorry to them that I can't remember who it was).
Not sure the images show up on here, but they are still on imgur
After a nearly 6 year absence, I will be returning to Vegas for the wedding of my brother in law. In true form, they are planning this last minute (engaged on Feb 14, '25 w/wedding on Mar 11, '25) and have asked if I can help them find a dinner venue. In turn, I'm putting out the bat signal to the fine folks of LVL, and especially the fine dining folks.
Here are the details and preferences
- 12-13 guests
- Semi-private or private dining
- Ideal spend $2-3K all in would be great
- Cuisine: Sushi is preferred. Steakhouse has been de facto second choice. I think they're open to other cuisines as well though.
- Vibe: Bride wants something hip/cool. Think Nobu, STK or Sushisamba. And yes, I tried those and each was disqualified for one reason or another.
- Time slot: 6-8pm
- Location: Open. Wedding is taking place at Bellagio with later evening activities happening near Horseshoe. They're open to places either easily accessible to the B or Horseshoe. Alternatively, taking a limo off strip is in play.
I've read through the recent pages of the thread but most of the content is (understandably) geared toward solo/couple diners so hoping the crew here can provide an assist with this tall ask.

Ocean Prime, great food and has both sushi and steak. You can also get $3250 in food/drink credit for $2500 on the InKind app. Huge restaurant easy to accommodate large group and they also have an awesome patio that overlooks the center of the strip.
I think wj hit this recommendation perfectly fwiw.
This is $3k for 12 people? That's a hard no for a lot of strip restaurants... including Ocean Prime.
I could be wrong, $250/person seems reasonable, especially if they have a set menu, buffet, etc., in a private room.
Yeah I think you can easily do almost any steakhouse/seafood spot for under $250/person if people aren’t going nuts on A5 wagyu and expensive bottles of wine
I'm not sure I've spent less than $1k at CUT and definitely more than $1200 at Zuma for 4 people. Drinks are ~$20. It's a wedding and not a random Tuesday.

Thanks! Very solid rec and looked like it would work out until the betrothed pulled an audible and rented out the entire top floor suite of Palms Place for the reception and dinner.... They solved for the venue but now need to solve for a chef/catering and service. Definitely the wild card, yolo route but entirely on brand for them...
Many thanks for all of the contributions gents!
Sparrow + Wolf.
I won't detail each dish, but highly recommend doing the wine pairing. Every dish ranged from great to best ive ever had. I've never had octopus this tender. I've never had lamb that tender and flavorful. The warm oyster was ridiculously smoky and sweet.
Unbelievable service. Well worth the money, especially if using costco gift cards

Visited LPM Sunday brunch again and it was even better this time around. Our waiter spaced out the dished better this meal, and even gave us a small wine pairing with the steak for free. They also added the cheesecake to the menu and was superb. We ate at the end of their brunch service and they seemed like they had leftover pastries, so they gave us a couple to go.
I will always visit when I'm in vegas on a sunday.
sorry not connecting with the acronym
I believe it's:

There's also a tasting menu which is served family style I believe. Haven't been.
@punkass - which menu do you recommend? Did you get drink pairing?
I didn't know the acronym, but looked it up. LPM in Cosmo. $85/person, family style for brunch tasting menu. I think that included bottomless drinks. Looks pretty good, but my husband won't eat most of it :(

Sorry, LPM is in cosmopolitan that has a Sunday brunch tasting menu. Others have done reviews in here and I have one from sep 2024, so I didn't do a repeat detail. It is essentially the same from September, except they added the cheesecake.
$85 tasting menu does not include drinks. There is an endless mimosas package, but I just had one drink (grand mimosa which was more than enough for a brunch for me).
Finally made it to Carversteak. Overall great restaurant, everything was either very good or incredible.
Espresso martini $23 - 10/10 up there with Mother Wolf
Pearfectly Pine cocktail $25 - 9/10 different and interesting
Wagyu skewers $32 - 10/10
Glazed pork belly $24 - 7/10 (Bavette’s will always reign supreme in this category with their bacon)
Blue cheese brioche bread $8 - 7/10 good but probably prefer regular bread instead of a blue cheese one
Striploin $79 - 9/10, will go back and try the wagyu version next time (picture is only half of the steak, it’s not that small)
Onion rings $16 - 10/10
Sautéed spinach $15 - 7/10 pretty standard
Pear sorbet $5 - 10/10 tasted just like a frozen pear, great texture
Campfire sundae $16 - 9/10 maybe 9.5, didn’t expect it to be as good as it was
Service - 10/10
$265 plus tip for 2, way better than the $300 dinner from Chica. With $75 off 225 from InKind app plus Costco gift cards for InKind it worked out to about $120 plus tip, stupid good value at that price.

If you need a private chef/caterer, DM me for a recommendation. And mazel tov.
What a great steak from Carversteak. I mean that’s the perfect sear to internal ratio with almost no grey and, unbelievable.

They crushed it, I was definitely impressed with the place. Too bad it’s stuck in the far back corner of RW 72 miles from the parking garage. Will be going back in a week or two to try more of the menu including the Wagyu version of the NY strip
