Thanksgiving 2024
Any buffet reccos? Leaning towards Caesars with my $100 annual food comp.
Also, the F1 race is the Saturday before T-day. Anyone remember how many days after the race until the roads were almost back to normal? I want to come into town a few days early, but I would think everything will still be screwed up for awhile.

Went to Don's Prime at FB. Good soup, good pie 3/10 turkey plate.
I went to Oscar's another year and it was just OK. Both were pretty pricy.
In all seriousness, Blueberry Hill has a decent turkey dinner, better than either and less than the tip on those meals. Not as good as homemade, but better than a botched effort at a fancy version.
I think a diner or possibly a buffet are the way to go.
T-Day in Laughlin...
Followed up with the Kenny and Dolly Xmas tribute.
Good (enough) food, good fun. Also played two sessions of bingo with the family. AzDaughter1 won one game. MiL won another.
Got felted twice within 15 minutes of sitting down in the 1/2 game. Got it in good both times post flop, two outered both times. If I were paranoid, I might think they were out to get me.
I noticed there seems to be a difference in plate sizes vs a buffet. Buffets get smaller plates. That load of turkey would've covered my entire plate.
I hardly played any poker at all. Part of it may have been that there was no poker where I stayed, and my back was killing me. I didn't even want to walk down to the cab stand. I didn't seem to be having any fun at it either. You can only take being card dead and missing every flop for so long before just wanting to go back to the room and watching youtubes.
