Trooper97 vlogs, discussions etc. will be allowed to continue in the new thread. That thread will not be unchained and I will work with the other LVL mods to keep it civil.

I personally am not going to allow a lot of the horrible posting that went on in the original thread to take place and I will be very generous with post deletions and bans if needed.

Posts the are overly derogatory, mean spirited, name calling (including using rude derivatives of names) , and demeaning posts towards any of the vloggers or posters in the thread will be deleted at the mods discretion. If any accounts persistently do this they will be banned or exiled from posting in this thread. In these cases we may issue a warning first.

Accounts that are used only to or substantially to troll post in this thread will be banned.

No personal family information or situations allowed in the thread.

OK Vlogger Thread, we are going with some new parameters to try to make this the POSITIVE vlogger thread that it is supposed to be, not the AIDS vlogger thread where a few loonies ruin it for the rest. Note that 'positive' does not equal 'only positive', it means anything negative being said CAN'T be namecalling or wild, unsubstantiated speculation regarding any and all vloggers. So I looked up Magikarp Poker, the guy that lost $15k playing 1-3 in Vegas and then got a coach and started doing videos. He did several videos for 3 months but hasn’t come out with a new video in 2 months.

He started a new job in November. Poker was a distraction while he was waiting for his job to start.

by Steve00007 k

He might be at $2k or $3k a month if he talked about poker sessions and results.

I’m surprised he has 5.57k subscribers. It took Trooper a few years to reach that number. More people watch poker content on YouTube now, but there are so many others to watch. I find him to be the least interesting out of the recent poker vloggers.

His best ever month was 800 with 150k views He averages around 50k views a month normally. I would say 400 a month is generous.

He can't handle 1/2 nl swings
Forget blackjack swings.

The last thing any Nomad should do is count cards. Counters are banned and if banned from CET that prohibits the Nomadic Method. One counter posted a video showing his counting at Flamingo and was summarily banned from Flamingo, Paris, and Harrahs which is the epicenter of the Nomadic Universe.

Lol what swings.

He can't even handle losing less than a single buyin because according to him it would be impossible to win that amount back over the next 10 hours.

Anyone who doesn't understand this concept is either a miserable loser or has never played 1/2 in Vegas in the last 5 years.

The correct thing to do after losing almost a whole buyin is to pack your bags and head for the greener pastures of council bluffs.

Red Rock Massacre. A Day That Will Live In Infamy.

#NeverForget

The only consolidation is the memory of that one time in 2016, he bluffed a player off QQ+ by representing a flush. He might attempt another bluff sometime in 2026.

The news reports about Fire Nomads who brush teeth with fire truck water and sleep in same.

He likes pretending and telling people that he makes his living from playing poker.

The fact that all he does is literally sit folding for hours on end waiting for Aces while he racks up the comps and promos doesn't bother him in the slightest.

Is there a difference between playing poker and just sitting at a poker table?

Rice plays his style, one that he is comfortable. Some people are nits. Some are LAGs. It's why he won't play in Texas, because he plays such a narrow range. Like someone above posted, as long as he is above break even it's OK for his lifestyle.

I've often questioned what truly is the meaning of your question. Am I supposed to get all caught up in being active and being the life of the party? Or am I trying to maximize my wins. Obviously the latter but ... I'm rambling.

Today's video has absolutely nothing to do with poker. I don't care how he rationalizes it. And the ego to think he is the only person who knows these guys? [emoji23] If you played fantasy or rotisserie baseball in the 1990s, 2000s you recognized most of the names.

Subtle brag on Rice getting three "triples" in one game. I'm sure they were Little League triples. Singles with a couple of errors that allowed him to get to third.

We are now halfway through January and he has played like four poker sessions since Thanksgiving.

I can't wait until he starts regaling us with some of his bunion stories.

Is Rice running a poker vlog, a travel vlog, or an autism vlog?

Seriously??

I can't believe you would make a comment about that, Diesel is definitely not running a vlog about that topic and it's something completely out of his control.

It is NOT about poker and you should know better!

this is actually kinda funny

Looks like trooper has been eating most of his own product.

I think the ultimate weight loss program would be fasting and walking back and forth between Harrahs, Bally's and MGM Grand while only eating on comps.

IIRC people stated El Diesel is around 5' 8", and his goal is to sustain a weight under 236, his best 2024 effort, over 4 consecutive days in 2025. He likely gets as much / more steps, in Vegas at least, then the average American, but then again the average American is considered just under 30 BMI / obese.

Rice would be at 35 BMI at his goal weight of 235 / 5' 8", it's higher now. Below morbid obesity, but still at a higher risk for heart, diabetes and other weight related issues. He unfortunately may not reach the early retirement (at or before he turns 50) he is planning if he doesn't get his weight under control, or perhaps still be around but in a limited health capacity.

To me, this is his most important 2025 goal, to begin a long term trend toward a sustained healthy lifestyle. He still should definitely implement an improved diet to help him in that area, not sure if he'll ever consider fresh fruit and vegetables a worthy financial "investment" over the lower cost or comped foods he eats today. Even with wide food varieties available in a buffet, he goes for multiple cereals when dining in vs. his protein focused to go bin to complement rice cooker rice, and i don't recall many fruits or vegetables in his buffet reviews / pictures.

He doesn't get that many steps in. He takes the monorail from Westgate -Horseshoe-MGM.

watching Jenny and GazzyB's latest vlogs, people love playing the nit/stand up game and get financially destroyed in the process because they make terrible choices.

Jenny does not have the actual concerns of those on the Nomadic Method. She can afford an apartment in Las Vegas and apparently has an independent source of income through an actual job and/or her family is in Australia and she cannot easily drive to stay at her parents house as other Poker Nomads can.

Thus, Jenny is not playing for tier nor comps and she doesn't look like she requires a lot of calories since she is thin and can reduce her food budget down probably less than $200 per month.

I would bet Jenny spends at least $200 on at least one meal per week (counting comps)

That's not hard to do. I often spend Rices monthly food budget on a single meal. But then again I have also had several losing sessions where I have lost more than his annual income in a single day.

Rice's head would literally implode if he ever saw people gambling in a casino high roller suite. The concept of having money to blow on frivolous gambling is completely foreign to him.

His world crumbles around him if he loses $100 as he mourns the lost dividends and interest he could have accrued on that amount over the remainder of his wretched life.

ELD gives a litany of his pet peeves at the poker table. Among them are players who sit down to the World's Greatest Nomad and instead of waiting instead attempt to immediately seek a waitress for free drinks. Free alcohol containing drinks possibly make sitting next to Nomads more palatable, nonetheless the offenders fail to show proper respect for the World's Greatest Nomad by following ELD's ordained protocol to maintain a respectful amount of time in awe of same.

uh oh, this is a video I may have to watch

One chip raise to $5 blows his mind. that is comical "I don't even mind if it's five $1 chips. but raising to $5 with one chip. that really bothers me"

he puts tanking as #1, then complains when a dealer estimates a bet stack to speed up the action. he is such a moron.

there may be 7 but I can not handle more than 4 of this trash.

this is one of those videos that's so bad it's worth a click

Diesel confirmed massive autist. Literally the smallest insignificant things set him off at the table.
