Trooper97 vlogs, discussions etc. will be allowed to continue in the new thread. That thread will not be unchained and I will work with the other LVL mods to keep it civil.
I personally am not going to allow a lot of the horrible posting that went on in the original thread to take place and I will be very generous with post deletions and bans if needed.
Posts the are overly derogatory, mean spirited, name calling (including using rude derivatives of names) , and demeaning posts towards any of the vloggers or posters in the thread will be deleted at the mods discretion. If any accounts persistently do this they will be banned or exiled from posting in this thread. In these cases we may issue a warning first.
Accounts that are used only to or substantially to troll post in this thread will be banned.
No personal family information or situations allowed in the thread.

OK Vlogger Thread, we are going with some new parameters to try to make this the POSITIVE vlogger thread that it is supposed to be, not the AIDS vlogger thread where a few loonies ruin it for the rest. Note that 'positive' does not equal 'only positive', it means anything negative being said CAN'T be namecalling or wild, unsubstantiated speculation regarding any and all vloggers. In furtherance of Nomadic Method, I was able to learn that Capital One lounges can be had for $395 per year for the annual fee on the credit card. These lounges have sleeping pods and the lounges are best paired with the Frontier pass in order to live a Nomadic life inside an airport.
+1 massive LOL that Rice made 50 dimes from playing 1/2 NL poker in 2022. Its gonna snow in hell before he can pull that kind of money from poker. I find it more likely that Pman is gonna log 2000 live cash hours and coming out ahead winning money.

Also, I see people saying he makes like $5/hour playing but I think that's exaggerating imo I think he makes around $12 am I off though I see the comments that say he doesn't make close to that but how was this concensus made?
Basically through his omission. He gave results for a few years at the end of the year when he made 12-15 dollars an hour.
He'd track tons of things like whether he spent 5 dollars or 0 dollars on laundry for the month. But he stopped giving annual results. He would take trips and it he won for the week give results but if he lost would say it's not what people want blah blah.
When people asked for annual results instead of providing a number he'd speak in riddles despite having spread sheets for all kinds of nonsense.
Having meltdowns over losing a buy in,rake increasing,him getting a job in the summer all make it pretty obvious he isn't making near what he made a few years ago. He's embarrassed to say the actual number.

He’s a nit that never plays hands. KQss looks like 73off to him. He tilts and quits after losing half a buy-in.
ZERO chance he’s winning $12/hr. None.
thinkbluepoker is facing the reality of his 1000 hour poker challenge, making money dealing and then using that to buy in to poker and losing it all is not fun.
He has had 2 losing sessions and already you can see he's ready to quit.
Even if he was able to break even at poker, he's not even close to getting 1000 hours as he plays 2-3 hour sessions and plays maybe 2-3 times a week.
I like ThinkBluePoker and watch his vlogs, but the guy just doesn't seem smart enough to be a winning poker player at any stakes.

At least he is out of the 1/2 game with 100 buyin cap and 8 rake/drop. He was gonna grind up a roll in that game, lol GL with that. He got lots of comments that told him that game structure was basically unbeatable, and he actually was listening it seems like.

He seems like a good person and I watch his vlogs too but he's just not good at poker and i assume he's not good at sports betting. I think he just doesn't have a good work ethic and doesn't make any sort of long term plans in his life. He only plans for what he's doing that day.
He's a player that's constantly broke and has never had a profitable year yet thinks he can win 10bb/hour if he just concentrates harder. Their favorite word is variance to explain why they're losing instead of facing the fact that they just suck at poker. They only track results when things are going well and then stop tracking once things normalize and they're losing. He was giving overall challenge results when he won 3 staright sessions and then stopped after he started losing. People like tbp and alot of vloggers we know constantly reset their tracking and have new "challenges" with no actual plan or bankroll and inevitably fail. Saying he's going to play 1,000 hours and then playing 2 hour sessions is honestly just pathetic. It's only the beginning of the challenge and he's already making it impossible to complete it.

And the thing that grates on everyone's nerves is that he constantly talks down to his viewers and acts as if he is the ALWAYS the smartest guy in the room when he is barely one step above being homeless.

Now that I have been back in Philly for 3 weeks I can say Wawa isn't the best gas station food in the area. That honor goes to Royal Farms and their fried chicken and western fries. Haven't tried one of their hoagies yet. Wawa still has good hoagies.

But does Royal Farms have seating so a Nomad doesn't have to eat on his trunk and can experience actual sit down dining?

ELD states it is easier to rent than to get a mortgage. If a former nomad doesn't have enough money to buy a house then ELD cannot retire. In the alternative ELD needs $35,000 in passive income to pay rent for an entire year in order to retire.
