Trooper97 vlogs, discussions etc. will be allowed to continue in the new thread. That thread will not be unchained and I will work with the other LVL mods to keep it civil.

I personally am not going to allow a lot of the horrible posting that went on in the original thread to take place and I will be very generous with post deletions and bans if needed.

Posts the are overly derogatory, mean spirited, name calling (including using rude derivatives of names) , and demeaning posts towards any of the vloggers or posters in the thread will be deleted at the mods discretion. If any accounts persistently do this they will be banned or exiled from posting in this thread. In these cases we may issue a warning first.

Accounts that are used only to or substantially to troll post in this thread will be banned.

OK Vlogger Thread, we are going with some new parameters to try to make this the POSITIVE vlogger thread that it is supposed to be, not the AIDS vlogger thread where a few loonies ruin it for the rest. Note that 'positive' does not equal 'only positive', it means anything negative being said CAN'T be namecalling or wild, unsubstantiated speculation regarding any and all vloggers. Personal lives and anything aside from poker is OFF THE TABLE.

I disagree, I bet if we polled 100 people a majority would agree that they would not want their life's savings that they hoped to leave behind for their kids be lost paying for their late stage dementia when they didnt even know their own name much less if they even had kids.

I know I'd be pissed if all my money that I wanted to pass on to my kids was wasted like that.

They can make that decision beforehand. It's not like one day you're perfectly normal and healthy and the next day you have late stage dementia.

Additionally people who think they're entitled to their parents money and view it as their own are utterly repugnant. They should be thankful for anything they get.

I've seen this with different relatives over the years. People getting angry when their parents are spending a ton of money on themselves, be it medical care, cruises or anything else. It's disgusting.

I remember my grandfather refusing to spend money on himself as his mind was going because he had a daughter and a couple of grandkids pressuring him for money all the time. When his mind was still all there he had no problem telling people no when they asked for money and he spent his money doing things he liked. But these parasites thought it was their money and as his mind went he wouldn't fight back. It got to where he wouldn't even buy himself new shoes for example when he was long overdue. He had some good days and some bad days and there were things he wanted to do that he wouldn't because "it's too expensive." On the good days I was BEGGING him to do anything he wanted and to blow all his money doing those things- plus he had a pension coming in every month so it wasn't like he wouldn't be able pay his monthly bills.

As a grown adult I couldn't imagine asking someone for money unless I was really sick and desperate and needed it for food or medicine. Yet people have no shame thinking their parents or grandparents money is theirs and of course they'll blow through it in no time since they didn't earn it in the first place.

so he seriously went to AC in the dead of winter where the only thing to do is gamble to only play 4 hours of poker and go to fancy restaurant Wawa? Makes sense.

I wish sometimes I could be cheap like Diesel is. But if that meant never treating myself to a nice meal at a steakhouse once a month or whatever, I couldn’t do it. My God man you gotta treat yourself once in a while. How can you not at least have one nice meal at the steakhouse in the Casino? Surely he’s got some comps so it’s not like he’d be paying full price.

I think over the history of his channel he's explained to his viewers at least 4 or 5 times now how they can walk across from Harrah's to Borgata. It could literally be his favourite subject to talk about, or else he just thinks it's something that his viewers need constant reminding of.

I'm just hoping that, when he returns to Vegas, he continues his series on How to Get to Allegiant Stadium from X Casino.

Me too, there’s some unfinished business there for sure. We never got the Rice tutorial on how to get from the Wynn to Allegiant followed by how to get from Encore to Allegiant. The subtle differences will shock you!

I love a good steak. But I'm not ever paying for ambiance and in Vegas I'm not going to some overpriced mediocre strip steakhouse but I'll pay good money for a great steak. I know people who are big on super nice fancy places, celebrity chefs etc and that's just a waste of money to me.

But everyone likes different things. But even with things he does like he won't spend any money. Some people just get nothing from expensive food. He likes baseball. He'll stay away for 2 days with no hotel room and spend probably 15 hours traveling when all is said and done to watch 5 innings of a game. Rather than getting one cheap hotel, sleeping like a normal person in a bed and going to 2 full games instead. It makes no sense.

That's what Herbs and Rye is for to provide the comped steak meals.

It makes no sense.

The most succinct summary of his vlog to date.

The max it could have been was 4 hours but I'd wager it was more like 2-3 hours actual playing time.

Rice won't even tell us how many hours he puts in these days, let alone how much he wins or loses.

One day he played 12 hours at council bluffs when they were running a special high hand promotion every half hour plus tonnes of other draws. He discussed every single aspect of the promotion/day in his video except for the part about whether he won anything from it. When asked directly in the comments he replied something stupid like that they were missing the point of the video

Travel Well for Less claims she can earn CET Diamond on the 10X week in Vegas in January for approximately $200.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bnyvKBGD...

The new Nomad previously posted relating to the $10,000 challenge reports on Pancake House and recommends same for boondocking and breakfast.

And the much anticipated Bally's parking garage scene which is a mandatory for any purported Nomadic Vegas content.

He seeks freeplay from Bally's CET card signup and was charged $25 for parking so he needs to spend extended filming in the garage to get his money's worth.

It should be noted that he made a tactical error at this point, since CET matches first time members only and he should have played 150 hours at MGM to get Gold and then as a first timer signed up at Bally's for a Diamond tier match.

He eventually utilizes his freind's Nevada drivers license for three hours free. Then goes to MGM grand for a $72 win and then to Casino Royale for the $3 dog and $20 freeplay.

He rates White Castle at 4 out of 10.

Such comprehensive daily updates on the Nomadic lifestyle. You are quite the proponent of Nomadic Methodology, are you a practicing Nomad yourself or just an academic?

Does Think Blue make money off YouTube?

Here is his typical video

1) Sit in car
2) Talk about how great the Dodgers are
3) Go to work
4) Tell us bad hand histories during every break
5) Go home early

Is this really making him any money?

As for Rice ... He is too busy using his rice cooker in his room to play poker.

If I had $1 for every time this internet skater kid says Rinse in a video I would be a millionaire in a week.

Do people really say this in the context he does?

Academic at the moment.

Just was sketching out Nomadic method improvements such if one comes to Vegas ideally it would be best to stay 40 nights at the Super 8 on Charleston and LVB to then match to CET Diamond and then fly to Atlantic City to then match Diamond to Hard Rock Icon which expires every March 1 for prospective matches which inevitably come up such as occurred in 2024 with the tier matches to Fountainbleau, Wynn, and Venetian.

I thought that last part was your signature or whatever so didnt read it, then it was the last post so i glanced again and saw it said he listed 500 nba players and laughed out loud. What a weirdo el diesel is.

Rice yet again confirming his poker strategy in todays video. No results but he mentions he got his first double up of the year after going all in with a pair.

So we can conclude it's his usual case of waiting for a premium and hoping to get all in pre. Of course there's no discussion around postflop play with draws, bluffing, playing with second pair etc, he got what he was there for.

Way back in the golden age of poker vlogs I was playing a lot of poker and consuming poker content. Rampage with his dumb name was one of my favorites playing 1-2 in New Hampshire. Was amazing to see his meteoritic rise in stakes. Really don't watch the stuff much anymore beyond a boski video here and there but was aware of rampage's downfall lately. Saw his latest video and damn, looks like the degen has got the best of him. Felt bad for a day and then saw Doug Polk post a hand with him playing HU with rampage. Who tf does rampage think he is playing that guy heads up? Just no sympathy for the guy anymore picking the worst possible game for himself. Dude is hopeless and brought his downfall on himself.

It's called beating the system. Rice views rake as a tax on the stupid.

While everyone else is pumping up the promo slush fund and contributing rake towards his comps and rewards, he's just waiting to get a courtesy double up with AA/KK. Everything else he gets from promos/comps/rewards is just gravy. No wonder he can't wipe that permanent smug look of his face; in his mind he's literally cracked the Da Vinci Code.

I've only had it about 20 months. It's on its last legs and won't last 2 years let alone 10.

here's another example of a vlogger playing in a stand-up/squid game causing them to make terrible decisions.
in an attempt to avoid paying out $4,500, Rampage decides to play a hand 92s for $39,000 instead. you won't believe what happens next

this was after jamming with Q7o earlier

Rampage dusts off $160,000 across two days in like four hours he says

dumbest and worst poker player ever

Yeah, the amount of money Rampage is dusting off is mindblowing. The nickname "Rampunt" is very accurate.

Even if he happens to be in a financial situation where he can shovel out these kind of money without being hurt in his daily life, imo its of course not very smart choices compared to for example investing the money in property, stocks, crypto or other stuff than just handing out free money at the tables.

Diesel in shambles. Dave Portnoy reviewed Wawa pizza. Mentioned Casey’s General Store. Also calls them gas station pizza. Portnoy’s score is what you would expect for a place Diesel idolizes.
