Wife is on Mint and she has no complaints. She's not a heavy phone user, so take her opinion with that caveat, but she'd happy enough that I'm likely to go there from ?Verizon? when I get around to it. Frankly, IDK what network I'm on. The company I was with got bought, and then that company got bought, so I'm a bit lost. I know it's either Verizon or T-mobile now, and I'll likely stick with them until the next time they change something and it pisses me off, at which point I'll move to Mint if wife is still happy with them.

I've been on an ATT prepay plan for 3 or 4 years now. $300 a year. 16gb data that rolls over, unlimited everything else. Lets you use your phone as a hotspot. I think they have some unlimited data prepay plans that are similar, but I think they somehow throttle your data or your some kind of lower priority, not sure. I know when I got on the current plan I made sure I was getting the same service/speed as a monthly subscriber. Haven't really looked into since then as I haven't had any issues with the service. Not sure how the "free" phone thing works if that's something you need, I always just buy one at the Apple store.

And then the Kelces all snap retire and that's the last we hear of any of them.

thought of you last night while watching the latest season of True Detective. Which is set somewhere really ****ing cold in Alaska.

It’s set in late December when they’re not getting any daylight at all. Given how cold it is for you. I’m assuming you’re somewhere north? When is the sun rising and setting where you are in midwinter?

I've only watched the first episode of the new True Detective season. It certainly didn't grab me like the first season, but I'll forge on.

I'm only just past 52 degrees North, so yes north, but not THAT north.

Funny you bring that up because for the last 5 days, we've hit +7C (46F) during the day and have at least 2 more days of it in the forecast.

I've only watched two episodes but I've enjoyed it so far. Part of it may be my intrigue with just how alien the weather conditions are for me. At least 3 times an episode either my wife or I says 'there's no ****ing way I could live somewhere like that'

I also enjoyed season 1 but then gave up half way through season 2 and didn't watch season 3

RR sounded off on Star Trek Enterprise in the TV General thread.

I can't decide if that show had the worst or the best opening credits in Trek.

Is the new season of True Detective good?

I really liked season 1 and was waiting for the full second season to binge but saw poor reviews from everyone and didn’t bother. Didn’t check out season 3 or bother seeking reviews for it.

Im really enjoying it. Intriguing and a little far fetched weird but we’ll acted and the setting is fascinating to me.

Just watched the third ep. And was same as you re the other 3

TD season 2 was pretty dumb but Vince Vaughn's character had some great one liners. "I'm feeling a bit apoplectic myself"

S2 was bad, but the intro with that Leonard Cohen track was sweet.

The visuals were just about the best, but the music was absolutely the worst.
