It's ok to fold the best hand sometimes.

That said, fold turn, there's only like 5 decent rivers for you.

If DMW dares to enter the 'Slope (Sunnyslope neighborhood in NoCenPhoenix), I highly recommend a delicious Church Music while enjoying Little Miss BBQ brisket or ribs (7th St and Dunlop).

I really enjoy the Shop Beer Co tasting room/production facility in Tempe, also. They do good beerz.

Sunnyslope is fine, I know a football coach.

I'll swap you for West Alley BBQ charcuterie with wine pairing. Yes, they are going there.

Prairie, hope the grand kids recover.

Is there an alternate to bravopokerlive? There UI and constant logging in makes me crazy

There's also poker atlas, but most places are on either one or the other, not both.

just tried to recharge my AC in my car and i'm pretty sure i have a freon leak. luckily it's only 90 outside. blah. cars suck. damn car is costing a small fortune lately, new water pump, new clutch, new driveshaft bearings, still need new tires/battery/brakes. i thought owning a car outright was supposed to be cheaper

the street poker chick is coming down the homestretch of her final shakedown ride prior to the race across the us&a. She's currently making her way up big cottonwood canyon which is a beast of a climb. Spc departed from our place last week and biked to DMW country before turning around and heading home. Trip total is approx 800 miles. She has been averaging 140 miles per day deliberately routing through several areas with no services for 70+ miles. Equipment is fully sorted, caloric intake now dialed, and dues have been paid. I expect a very strong showing based on her training trajectory.

The caloroic burn is obviously through the roof for this kind of stuff. So its completely wacky watching a 5'4" woman consume the quanitities of food necessary to do this kind of thing.

Treat yourself to a new one bud. Best thing I ever did. I had an 11yo Mazda 6 with 130kmiles that was running beautifully engine wise but falling apart elsewhere and had scratches, dents etc. it was becoming embarrassing to drive. I kept putting it off because of the inner nit thing, because of course rationally, car expense is a leak.

But oh man it’s nice driving something new and hassle free and feeling good driving about

Is this one self organised or part of an event?

Extreme cardio is a drug and a time consuming one! I tip my hat off to all of them physically, mentally and emotionally, but oh man am I glad I didn’t get addicted to that one

My brother is running the Leadville 100 again this year for something like the 6th time at age 55, his body is a wreck and marriage #2 is rocky but he just can’t shake it

Part of her training is figuring out what the minimum amt of equipment and clothes needed to bring along as well as nutrition from the road and not the convience of home, suppliments, etc. So she has been doing 3 day tours. This one when all is said and done is a 6 day tour and her final big push for consecutive day riding volume prior to the event.

The time consumption is truly mind bending. She is averaging over 35hrs per week in the saddle in prep of this and countless hours gettting all other aspects dialed. But she really digs it and I enjoy supporting it. To succeed at something like this and having issues with the marriage sux but its obviously an issue for many couples on the scene. Asking her to not to do fun stuff is something I would never do; it goes against every fiber in my being.

your bro is a Bad Mofo

Hats off to SPC and FW's bro. 35hrs a week is absolutely wild. Beyond the training time, it's hard to have the energy for anything else.

Certainly to be much of a parent. My brother has 1 5yr old daughter who is in school and he works from home but he still has a live in au pair.

I managed to lose $400 in a $2-$100 game after 4-bet bluffing preflop with Ace-Five SOOOOOTED.

I wish I had never even HEARD the word “solver.”

In llsnl you can basically never bluff and be decently profitable. Enough of the table won’t figure out you always have a hand

I can’t imagine really any polar 4! bluffing should happen at a 2-100 game. Pots going to be so big compared to the raise size, probably the whole 3! Range should continue. Just 3!, 4!, 5!+ linearly

I’ve thought about it but i too have an inner nit that knows the car is generally fine. Also I do want to keep the car around because its manual and my kids are 11 and 8, so if they want to learn, I’d rather them learn in that than on my eventual new car.

I do not see it possible to hold down a job and do this kind of stuff. The amt of time spent doing route prep, gear choices, nutrition, contingency plans, and everything else makes it nearly impossible to have time for a job when coupled with training hours.

when its all said and done 35h hrs in the saddle is prolly closer to 45 or 50 hrs of real time when accounting for breaks for food/resupply/bathroom. Minimizing down time and being efficient has been a major focus in this block and that stuff really adds up fast.

here is the ride. Check out that last climb (big cottonwood aka guardsman, the 4th nastiest of all the utah climbs). 5k feet in short order at the end of 800 miles in the rain and snow.

squid, is SPC's cross-country trip going to be documented anywhere? Would love to follow along.

I know this is all true. I was just in a spot that was perfectly set up for a 4-bet and I had THE 4-bet bluffing hand!

But here, behold the trainwreck:

Raise Ac5c UTG to 8 then UTG1 3-bets to 28 two cold calls I 4-bet to 128, UTG1 calls, one cold-caller goes all-in to 200, there’s a fold, it is capped so I can only call and UTG1 calls. Flop 743r w a club. I 100 he calls. Turn 8s two s. I x he 100 I call. River Ks. I x he all-in 36 I fold. UTG2 scoops with JJ.

In my mind preflop I’m like “ok if UTG1 was 3-betting light OR he just doesn’t feel like playing TT or AK or whatever for stacks this will get through and I’ll win $100 without a showdown AND get to show the table I put in $128 preflop with a 5!”

But instead it….made me lose $300 haha.

Seriously, spread limit games are just limit HE with tiny blinds, so one should simply play really, really nitty.

Hey golddog, SPC is going to be doing a daily report for ultracycling mag. The race itself will have a site where you can track all of the cyclists involved (dot watching). She will also do a daily strava report with pix and summation of the days events. Ill post up those links come gameday. SPC appreciates your interest and support

Your UTG PFR got 3bet by UTG1 which is the tightest 3bet range possible in a low stakes limit game. I am not even sure A5s is a 4bet GTO wise in this spot.

Upswing says this can be a raise, call, or fold. I have another set of charts that put this squarely in the raise/call category at both 100bb and 200bb.

Personally, it's a fold more often than not.

It's just a call. Try to hit two pair or a flush draw.

LOL at bluffing in a limit game.

Guess she is now Trail ex-poker chick.

HAving dealt with car salesmen for over a month and binge-reading USNews car reviews and redditors, the general consensus is that older cars are more durable. The US EPA is strong arming makers to make lighter more gas efficient cars. But nobody wants to be weaker than the competition, so the way to do it is make smaller lighter car parts, that are going to break sooner.

Junior Breeze is at home resting after surgery.
Told him he can’t do martial arts for 4-6 weeks and he took it like I’d told him he had a week to live.

His passion for martial arts is admirable. We should all be lucky to find things we love like he loves this.
