So sorry to hear Miami. Pets are a blessing. I am glad you had the time with him.
Had an adventurous afternoon. Went to my mom’s house to help her out with some stuff, and I get there before she does. She walks into her house in tears. I ask what’s going on and she tells me some homeless dude at Taco Bell groped her. Dude asked for money and my mom offers food instead. She buys him food and he goes all perv. I get in my truck and track him down. Find him at a gas station, so I confront him and say, “Hey, man, I heard you like Taco Bell and boobies.” I tell him I’m going to beat his a$$ and he goes running, so I chase. He thinks about squaring up for a split second, and then takes off running again. I follow him for a few miles while on the phone with the police. They finally catch up to us and arrest him. He admitted it, and he’s already known to the police for the same s***.
I’m glad my rational brain was turned on just enough. Had it been my wife or daughter it would have been onsite KO - no talking.
I trust you had some sort of weapon with you. A pink gun perhaps?

Condolences Miami - been through it with multiple pets but never gets easier. At least he apparently passed peacefully.
@rickroll - the dude that runs the Big sky is a local montana boy and is very proud of the event and works hard every year to make it better. World beaters compete in it but there are people that ride it like you want to. His goal is to make the event fun. There are no trophies or prizes. You get time bonuses for stopping and eating local pies. It should be a great time

i found out today that all my family are planning on coming up to maine at various times this month so i'll be here through end of the month but that'll give me plenty of time to get the bike ready to go (or concede defeat and buy a new one) and will give me about 2 weeks to get out there - which should be plenty of time

Sumptin like that. It was a big reason I did keep my cool… way too much to lose. After the initial confrontation I kept my distance so it didn’t go down badly. Dude probably does need his a$$ beat though seeing how he keeps doing this stuff. I’d imagine he has done, or at least thinks about, doing worse things. That’s a huge sigh.
And fwiw.. this guy was younger than me and about my size. I wasn’t picking on old homeless guys like Skip does.

Sorry to hear that happened to your mother. Glad everyone ended up safe enough in the end, though.
Also glad to hear you kept your distance after the initial confrontation. If it did go south, it's hard to claim self-defense after initially seeking him out. Good job keeping your head in an understandably tense and stressful situation.
I've had 6 straight losses to start off the month, each one worse than the last.
These punters try really hard to give it away yet somehow keep hitting the nuts vs me every single hand for a week straight.
This is depressing as ****. Feels like I'm permanently stuck in a hole and never making progress. If this were a private game I'd say 100% I'm being cheated, but it's casino shufflers that are dealing me nothing but coolers and suckouts for a week straight. Kill me.
Sorry to hear about the rehab setback, squidders, but glad to hear she'll have a posse there. Looks like she'll be at midnight pretty handily. (knocks wood)

My pup passed this morning. He was and old man, around 14.5. I knew we didn’t have long as he had some health issues and we’ve had two scares over the past 6 weeks. Yesterday he did pretty well and was up and about a bunch (for him), ate, made, followed the kiddos as they ran around in circles, etc.
Around 1am I heard him stirring around and took him outside. He made and seemed “ok”. Around 3 he was up and moving around again and this time kind of seemed a little disoriented so I carried him to o
