Ace-5 suited is the new Aces: Hand 2
Game is $2-$100 spread-limit. Both Villains start the hand with $200, I cover.
$4 straddle is on, two EP players limp, I raise As5s to $20 in the CO. Both blinds and both limpers call.
FLOP: AcJd3c (pot: $100, 5-ways)
Everyone checks. I bet $25. Both blinds call, both limpers fold.
TURN: AcJd3h 4s (pot: $150, 3-ways)
SB ($140 remaining) checks. BB ($140 remaining) checks.
Do I bet $100 or check?

I bet $100. SB goes all-in for $140. BB folds. I obviously call, knowing I’m behind. He actually has one of the best hands for me to be behind against: Ace-3 (which I have more outs against than Ace-Queen, for example).
However, I don’t hit. Oh well! Still not sure if I need to bet the Turn.
It's OK to limp behind IMO here with such short stacks. Fold to a raise.
As played, this is actually a really good flop for your range. So act like it. Bet more on the flop, closer to $45-60.
Once we get to turn, I'm OK to check behind for pot control. You can get away easier on the river if the draw gets there, and can also feel out a bet in position if it looks like value or not. You only beat one combination of Ax (A2), but could entice a missed flush draw to take a stab if you check through turn.
I just don't love getting stacks in with top pair mediocre kicker, but that's exactly what you're setting yourself up to do with a small cbet on flop. As played, bet more on flop, play heads-up, check through turn and re-eval river IMO. If you bet $45 and he check/raises you on the flop I think it's a clear fold
Pre is somewhere between a limp and a fold for me. Flop is a pure check. Suited aces go down in value at low spr.
Limp behind pre. This isn't deep stacked no limit.
No reason to pile money instead any point this hand.
A5s is one of the best bluff hands on a lot of different boards, particularly with some sort of straight draw, flush draw, backdoor, or relevant blockers.
If you make a big hand like 2 pair+, then it is okay to put more money in the pot, but if you just have a weak hand like top pair bad kicker, then you want to keep the pot small.
