2-3 NL plays more like a 3-5. 300 to match the stack. Hero has 1400 and all barely cover.

UTG is a huge whale, she mostly limp calls pre, doesn’t fold much post and bets big when she has it and small when she’s trying to get a cheap showdown. LJ and HJ are loose passive.

Hero in co with 8s7s

Pre: UTG LJ HJ limp, hero limps, btn and blinds come 7 ways

Flop (21) : Ks9s7c
2 checks, utg 24, LJ HJ hero call. 4 ways

Turn (117) : 6cc
3 checks hero

Maybe raise flop to knock out the loose passives and take a free card if needed vs utg?

Mandatory raise pre, especially this deep and from CO: ~18-20

As played pre, flop is whatever: in position, calling may be fine.

Turn, probably bet ~80, but not really sure, also because I never get there this way.
You said utg is a whale who bets big when she has it. She bet pot otf, should we assume she has KX? If so, I doubt she would fold to a turn bet. The question is what she would do on the river, depending on the runout. Would she call on a front-flush or straight completing card? Would she overfold to a big bet no matter what?

I don't know.
The hand derailed from the overlimp preflop, imo.

Preflop is fine

I wouldn't raise flop - you either get 3bet by UTG, or she calls and the others come along anyhow. You're going to prefer to hit two pair or trips than a flush, but such is life. The RIO might almost make this a fold.

Turn I would check behind for the same reasons, this deep you could open up a world of pain

Yep preflop fine. I see no reason to raise with zero folds possible, they will all come along anyhow so we'd just be building a big pot with a speculative hand.

I like flop call.

Turn check behind. Again, its multiway with probably no fold equity and getting raised is a huge disaster. Lets take the free card and hope to make our straight first, flush second.

Raise pre. Your FD is almost never good here. Check turn and mostly x/call or x/fold river depending on runout.

Agree with moxterite and YanasaurBBQ. Fine so far, just check now.

Raising pre is OK, too, but nothing wrong with limping here.

I prefer limping with hands like Abxs pre or at least a suited b'way in some cases rather than SC's bc they have more value in multiway pots, for example we can flop a FD in a 6 way pot and not know if our villain who's calling us down or raising us has a bigger FD. I would raise pre here but that's just me.

I would check the turn, if would be horrible if we bet an got c/r'd (plus no one seems to be folding (4 ppl jus called an over bet on a king high flop).

Hmmmm...

I'd be tempted to raise pre, but I don't hate the over-limp IP.

Flop, I think we can consider folding here, though raising is an option. Probably better to raise than call.

Our pair is probably no good. Making 2P would complete a double-gutter for JT. With two opponents calling a pot size bet, I wouldn't expect our flush draw to be good very often.

Turn, I'd be tempted to start a bluff here, but It's pretty risky when we're still four ways and UTG doesn't like folding. I think maybe we could bet small on turn and plan to go big on any T, 5, spade or club river, assuming our turn bet gets us heads up with UTG. If we bet and get multiple callers, I'd shut it down unless we make our straight, and probably only with a 5.

Everyone checked when the 2nd flush draw + card helping the low straight. I can't see top pair/2p/set/T8 doing that. And they had something to call pot on the flop. So, either they're sitting on a flush draw---and pretty much all of them are going to be bigger than ours---or they're waiting to check-raise.

I don't see enough Vs folding if we bet and I don't think we can call a raise. So far, we've limped and called a pot-sized bet on the flop. Are we going to try and rep T8 now? How does everyone view us? We have very few clean outs and we're not drawing to the nuts.

Not sure what the right answer is here.

Mostly raising pre; yes it's pot building but we play our hands better than they play theirs so it's a worthwhile investment. But I dont think limping is horrible by any means. As played turn is $125, betting 30-75% PSB when we hit.

If the RIO make this a fold, then why even limp over so many others?

The RIO could be bad if a flush hits, no disagreement there. Just wondering if we should even be here if we are scared when we hit our hand (flush) Unless we call pre hoping for straight, but then it would ok to call with any connected cards even unsuited and that doesn't feel right. (But maybe it is)

low flushes still work as bluffcatchers vs small/med sized bets and arent that hard to fold vs. too much action, so i think suited are worth more than unsuited connectors

Just to continue the hand

Hero 125, fold fold, HJ tank calls.

River (367) : 9x
HJ bets 225

Oof. Just fold.

as played fine

now "LJ and HJ are loose passive."
