3! size is way too small. 1/3 pot cbet is also too small.
I would call turn and reevaluate. A J river gives you the nuts and an A might be good.
H folded.
V showed two offsuit middle cards for no pair, no flush draw, taking the pot down with his bluff.
Bluff is bad on high wet board. Villain obviously should have folded 3 times before the turn.
Hero is 27% against 2-pair. It is possible to barrel the turn or check shove to the 1/2 pot bet. Don't think he can fold. Besides an A or J, any pair the board gives you aces up, counterfeiting 2 pair, but possibly giving villain trips or a boat. Not a good situation on the turn for AA though.
OP has a 19 yo son hosting home games.
Best. Dad. Ever.
PRE - 3B needs to be bigger. At least 18bb. Wouldn't hate 20bb.
FLOP - c-bet needs to be bigger. He's OOP against 3 stupid-wide ranges. 1/3 pot ain't gonna gut it. Go 2/3 pot and just muck to a raise.
TURN - V's 1/2 pot bet smells fishy, but we're not deep enough to raise-fold, and a jam can only get called by better.
If we have any reads on V, that would help with the decision. As played, I could call and evaluate river, or find the nitty fold. The lower the stakes, the more likely I'd be to call off, or even jam, because low stakes home game players are prone to doing shenanigans whenever the aggressor checks to them.
LOL.
He's knows GTO way better than me. We keep telling him to get a job, but he's crushing his home games for 75BB/hr (BB is $0.25) over 200 hrs, so he's still without a job, but taking a full load of classes. He obviously likes poker better than his last job at Staples.
I usually have already run my hands by him before I post them here.
its a home game. people will do weird sht. dont fold.
i like inducing bluffs in this game though. so do lots of checking and letting people rope themselves.
