Lots of River options on the table with oddly played AJ on AKQ33–what’s best?
Blinds $1-$2, game is $2-$100 spread-limit. After midnight, Villain has $300, I cover. I just table-switched here an hour ago and we have two hand histories (he’s BB in both of these:
HAND HISTORY 1: I Raise AsKs to 12 pre after a limp, both blinds and limp call. Flop 772r with a s. Xxx I 25, only BB calls. Turn 7. Xx. River 9. He bets 30 I fold
____________
HAND HISTORY 2: I Raise 54ss to 12 after a limp. BB and limp call. Flop Q97r w a spade. Xx I bet 24 only BB calls. Turn Tx. X I bet 75 he folds.
Ok. THIS HAND: 3 limps, I raise AsJd to $14 in the Small Blind, and two of them call (including V who overlimped in MP).
FLOP: AcKdQh (pot: $45, 3-ways). This seems like a check when I have a J or T with my A and it’s a rainbow (I fear so little) so I check. MP checks. Button bets $6. I call. MP calls.
TURN: AcKdQh 3h (pot: $57, 3-ways). I check again, MP checks, now Button bets $12. I decide his bets mean exactly what it looks like they mean (always a good assumption at LLSNL) and decide now is a good time to get value from his Ace-rag holdings and raise to $40. But V in MP cold-calls it. The Button folds. Hmmmm.
RIVER: AcKdQh 3h 3c (pot: $137) Well now I’m chopping with ace-rag.
I….
A) bet small for value, to get a crying call from KQ, KT, etc?
B) Bet $100 to bluff him off a chop, representing the straight, AK/AQ, boats, etc.
C) Check-call (to catch his missed hearts, missed straights, etc)
D) Check-raise-max (to, like B, bluff him off a chop)
? What looks best?

RESULT: I picked C.
I checked, he bet $50, I called, he tabled 85hh.
I would probably pick C, too.
