Short stack raises small and 4! shoves

1/2 NL UTG+1 raises to 7, 2 callers, I 3! to 30, UTG+1 shoves for 126. I 3! sort of light for value assuming I was ahead with a mid pp or big ace to the weak action. Most of the open raises were to at least 10. UTG+1 could not expect a 3! was likely, as they were rare. Villain is young wearing a hoody. I am getting about 1.9-1. What is range of hands should I call with.

Why did you include the results already?

Was this player typically raising larger than $7 and sized down for this particular hand? For some people, $7 is a standard RFI size. I do think that there is sense in raising smaller from EP as well.

I don't think I would focus too much on the $7 open when making my decision here. I think the more important part is that he 4bet jammed from EP against a solid player's 3bet. You are calling $96 to win a final pot of $266 so you need 36% equity to profitably call.

If Villain's range is TT+ AQs+ AKo A4s-A5s (low suited aces to represent occasional spew/bluffs) you have 37.5% equity. If Villain's range is TT+ AQs+ AKo, you have 32.9% equity.

So to call here, you need to count on Villain having some hands in his range that you have in bad shape, like low suited AX or 88. I don't think either option can be a huge mistake either way.

Also, I'm not sure what position you raised from, but I would probably go bigger with two callers in between. Obviously that makes the decision to call off easier as well.
