Going multiway in 3bet pot with JJ
Hi! Just getting back into poker after many years off after black friday in 2011. Been starting to play at my local casino that spreads 1-3 and 3-5 NL. I'm often feeling lost post-flop and am looking to discuss hands and get advice. Thanks in advance to anyone who takes the time to respond!
$1/3 NL - 9 handed
Hero: CO (J♥️ J♠️😉
Villain(s): SB, UTG+1, LJ
Effective Stack: $380
SB had just sat down - a ~35 yo Asian woman with a man standing behind watching. She had played the first 5 hands she was dealt, including one where she RFI and a mid-stack squeezed all-in over a couple callers - she folded and showed TT. She then played the next few hands either RFI or calling raises. On another hand, she led into the PF raiser on the flop with a flush draw and bet the turn when she got there. Don't know if she was just getting several playable hands all in a row or playing loose. Her folding TT to a ~$150-$200 allin squeeze made me think she wasn't JUST wanting to gamble gamble.
Preflop ($4)
Hero: CO (J♥️ J♠️😉
UTG+1 raises $15, LJ calls, Hero 3-bets $60 with JhJs, SB cold calls, UTG+1 calls, LJ calls
UTG+1 was a youngish thinking player - he'd gotten stacked twice in the previous hour and seemed to be loosening up. One limpy/passive player called. I 3bet, preferring to get heads up or end it. Didn't know what to make of the SB cold calling my 3bet, but heavily discounted AA or KK. Fairly surprised everyone called, since the table hadn't had many 3bet or large pots.
Flop ($236): 2♥️ 8♦️ 7♦️
SB bets $50, UTG+1 folds, LJ folds, Hero ??
Didn't know what to make of the <25% pot-sized lead here. I thought QQ-99 were possible and decided to donk when no overcards came. Possibly AdKd or AdQd or even sets of 77/88. The pot is now $286 after her bet and I have $320 behind. Was unsure whether to shove all-in, or just call and evaluate on the turn since I'm now heads up and in position.

Welcome to the forums, and nice job with the easy-to-read hand history! [P.S. I assume you know to wait 24 hours before relating any new action]
Assuming you shoved over her turn bet with your vulnerable overpair, there's nothing else to say but "nice hand."
With SPR just >1 we need to just shove here. The problem with calling is that we hate most of the deck on the turn and are giving her the opportunity to semibluff us off our equity. I would expect to be good most of the time. Often against a high equity draw. Sometimes against a worse pair. Rarely a set or QQ.
Pretty standard shove over flop donk. I would expect her lead is mostly weak hands, but some of her 1p hands may stack off anyway, but there are a lot of bad turn cards for you and she may x/f turn anyway.
raise the flop 2.5x-3x and jam turn. i think shoving flop only gets called by better or strong draws.
i expect draws, pair+draw type hands. just shovel it in and watch her turn over something weird like Td9d or something
I'm either/or preflop. With more callers / shorter stack / knowing for sure the guy is capable of opening loose, I'd more 3bet. The less callers / the bigger the stack / not really knowing how loose this guy is opening, the more I'm cool with a flat (but I can be passive like that).
At this point, we barely have a PSB left, we can easily be ahead of a bunch, the other two guys obviously didn't outflop us thanks to folding, and we're going to hate most turn cards. I just ship it.

Shove and pray with this SPR
I like it as played. Now shove.
How much did she donk in the hand where she had a flush draw?
Yeah, I would just jam. There's 20 cards that can kill/slow down action anyway (for hero and for the villain).
the 24hr rule is just for the final results, it's ok to add more action before disclosing if the hand was won or lost.
I'm going to do something highly unusual and agree with the LLSNL blob on this one.
Well played, now shove.
I’m shoving here. I doubt she’s donking that small with a flopped set

Wow, thanks for so many replies about the hand!
I decided to shove thinking she could be doing this with enough hands I'm ahead of or flipping with at the moment.
Villain called with QQ.
I'm happy to hear my thought process was sound. I have several hands where I felt lost post flop that I'm looking forward to getting feedback on. Trying to get my thought process back up to speed.

Appreciate you detailing your thought process pre flop. I agree those are all important variables to keep in mind.
Even if you flatted, you would of likely got the rest in on the turn anyway since you would only have about a psb left.
It's just a cooler, and you're thought process was right since she had 99, TT and FD's in her range as well as hands that beat you, and she's already shown that she likes to play her draws aggressively.
Well played. Welcome back to poker.
