hitting sets on a wet board 1-3
This happens literally all the time when I have a set and not even the best set but sometimes the best. But this one I've go to share because I wanna know if I messed it up or not.

I think we can just go with it and shove. We're 50/50 against top two, sets, made straights and AQcc / A8cc.
Alternative would be to call to keep all his bluffs in and jam over him on brick turns.

I swear I’m gonna make a COTM post teaching this sub how to calculate a damn raise size.
This preflop 3b size is 1/2p, which I guess isn’t completely unreasonable but it is the equivalent of opening for 2.25bbs.
Flop raise is 1/5p. That seems a tad small, no?
A shove over this reraise would be 2x pot. Is this really a spot to overbet?
Learn how to 3 bet the right size. Seen this several times from you. This is very easy to learn and fix.
On the flop villain didn't "open, " they bet. You didn't 3bet flop, you raised. Villain didn't 4 bet, he 3 bet.
Preflop first raise is a raise and 2nd raise is a 3bet.
Postflop first bet is a bet and first raise is a raise, second raise is a 3bet.
1. 3bet sizing needs to be at least 45+15 = 60 (3x IP, + 1 caller).
2. on the flop, raise size also need to be also big, at least $75
3. I've never ever seen flop 4b in $1/3, lol rest assured. I think sets could've called or raised even bigger on such a wet board. Not sure if set's flop 4 betting where you can have JTs as well, potentially 56s being deep stacked.
Shitty spot for sure, but this is kind of a butchered hand with sizing, fold and move on to a better spot. If you've seen V bluffing then call to assess on different turn runouts. If the board pairs or flush comes in, straights will likely check

I'm new to the forum give me a break with the terms Mlark. Also I understand my sizing is usually off when I reraise. I've been told this a few times I'll admit.
I think my initial thought is if I go $75ish he's gonna jam back to 200$ he consistently fires another round and now I'm really in a bind either jam or fold at that point. The Asian guy is thinking maniac after all. I mean i can't flat call either here can I??
Anyways I ended up jamming back i don't think I can just call here bc hes just gonna jam turn and I figure I'm 50/50 here on him catching he ended up having A6 clubs and did hit a river club.
