3bp size up turn? shove river?

BTN is a fish, raising $50 and calling A6o. In hindsight I think I should've sized up on the turn and give up on the river, but river K was too good to not bluff. I thought b50% would've folded all his K floats that's not diamond draw. Maybe I should've shoved on the river or size up the turn. Any thoughts?

Blinds: $5/10
Hero: BB (A️ 4️)
Villain(s): BTN (A️ 6️)
Effective Stack: $3, 500

Preflop ($15):
BTN raises $50, Hero 3-bets $225, BTN calls

Flop ($455): 2️ 5️ 6
Hero bets $220, BTN calls

Turn ($895): 2️ 5️ 6️ 5
Hero bets $440, BTN calls

River ($1, 775): 2️ 5️ 6️ 5️ K
Hero bets $1, 000, BTN calls

Total pot: $3, 775

I don’t usually condone including results in OP, but I’ll make an exception for when it makes me laugh.

Hand is played fine, unless of course you had any reason to think villain was this sticky. I would not size up on any street on this runout.

Better luck next bluff 🤷‍♂️

I've been thinking about this hand more, and at the risk of speculation, it seems like maybe the biggest leak here is the information you're taking away from hands (and so applying in future hands).

We have no reads on an opponent who's 5x'ing the button, so I assume he's doing all sorts of suss stuff that would be useful to apply here.

Then even after the hand, your take away is that you should have overbet him off the hand he happened to have, when really I feel like the biggest take away is he's sticky and overbet jamming river is just a more expensive way to find out he doesn't like folding (even if it would happen to work in this case.)

I think the c-bet flop is fine, but turn doesn't really make sense to me. If the point was to be bluffy appearing to be a river catcher with say AK I think you would be a lot more effective on a big bluff on the river after checking the turn also if he comes out with a big stabby stab on the turn you can get out of there cheap. Think the timing on your bluff was most likely off that's where I would evaluate this better. I don't think this was the board hand or pre flop action you wanted to induce him losing $$$. What were your thoughts had he 3! on the flop? Or if you had checked flop and he c-bets?
