NL2/3. QQ low monotone flop
NL2/3. 9 handed. UTG straddles. 4 limpers to me at BB w QdQ. I raise to $45. Only MP and BU call.
Flop ($130): 8d6d4d
I have stack $210. MP has $185. BU has $100.
Shovel on flop, or wait for a safe turn to jam, or better plan from flop on?
If I have QsQh, any different play?

All in. Max value from AdXo and KdXo. Can get looked up by weaker XdYo too. Small PPs are inelastic and folding to any bet, as are most of Vs ranges. Would suck to have it x through, 5 rolls off and a random J7s beats you.
At these small stack sizes any reasonable raise preflop comfortably commits us postflop with an overpair. So I'm cool with any raise >= $30 preflop that gets us action.
And at these stack sizes I just shove the flop (even with no diamond). If someone outflopped us for like 1/3 - 1/4 of their stack preflop, nice hand sir. ETA: At small SPRs when committed (which we are), I would always lean to simply protecting my equity in the pot ASAP. I would leave all other plays (checking, betting small, etc.) to big SPR spots (where we are more concerned about protecting our stack behind).

Preflop is good.
Flop at this SPR with overpair + flush draw I'm happy to either bet small/jam turn, or to check-shove now; but open jamming isn't bad either, you can still get a shrug call from AdX. Without a diamond this is very awkward and I'd be inclined to start with a check and go from there, but reluctant to stack off willy-nilly.
Pre-flop is fine. On the flop I'd prob bet ~40-50 to give someone space to shove overtop. Which, if they do, call. You're likely ahead here, and your hand still has a chance to improve. Get your money in while ahead.
Without a diamond, I think we bet bigger on the flop, ~60-70, to make it clear we aren't folding to the short stack. In the off chance MP wants to get creative, you can consider bet/folding to an MP shove (which would look quite strong considering BTN would still have to act behind).
