2/5 6 handed game with Kh10h

2/5 6 handed game with Kh10h

Looking for how everyone would play this.

2/5 effective stack is V with 500 who usually doesn’t play 2/5

V: not very active. Playing pretty tight. Saw him just call a raise and a call earlier with AK on the button.

H: not very active either but I cover. Turned over a few good hands earlier. Should have a tight image.

OTTH it’s a 6 handed game i open Kh10h to 15 V calls button BB calls

(40) flop Jh8h9c

BB checks I check expecting this board to hit V a lot and play on check raising but could get behind betting ourself… perhaps if I knew button was aggressive I could check raise but he checks
It back

Turn 6h BB Check I bet 30 button calls and BB folds

(100) river 2c I bet 85 he makes it 225 easy shove?

What worse hands does villain call with, let alone which does he raise with after playing the hand so passively?

Bet the flop. You flopped the entire world. We want to get stacks in. I'd probably bet pot.

AP, we lost value by checking flop. I'd try to make my hand look like a bluff by over-betting turn, at least $60.

River is a brick. His smallish raise is pretty nutted, not much more than a min-click. On the BTN in a 6 handed game, he could have all the AXhh combos.

Definitely not jamming. Probably not folding. But definitely not fist pumping to call it off.

To answer the River question: we bet pot and he still raised. The K, J, T, 8 and 6 of hearts are all gone. Which worse flushes can he have? I count 5:

Qh9h
9h7h
7h5h
5h4h
4h3h

Obviously this is LLSNL, he can call raises with UTG raises with Q3 sooooted, but let’s try.

What better flushes can he have? We know he flatted AK earlier, so I think all 7 of them are in play:

AQhh
A9hh
A7hh
A5hh
A4hh
A3hh
A2hh

If we shove, we always lose 230 when he has a higher flush. And we DON’T always win the 230 when he has a lower flush. (He can raise-fold baby flushes here.) But let’s say he’ll call….80% of the time he has a lower flush.

SHOVING EV: 5 lower flushes x 0.8 calls x $230 = $920

7 higher flushes x 1.0 calls x $230 = $1610

This makes a shove look really bad, and the only way we make it look good is if we give him a bunch of trashy Q3/74/etc suited hands, or have him calling some shoves without even a flush (2-pair, etc.).

I don’t know. It’s a clear shove with like K3hh or something, but with this runout I’m just not seeing it.

I bet the flop 100%. No way am I expecting him to bet.

As played, I don't see a reason to shove. He's not calling with worse. Heck, I might fold.
