1/3 super loose game.

1/3 super loose game.

Two players limp from MP, A very laggy CO raises to 15. He makes very loose calls post flop with not nearly the odds to draw. I haven't seen him fold pre flop to a raise. The other two limpers might fold to a reraise but they often call. . I have KhJh in the BB and it's folded to me.

I am the effective stack with 400. Against more normal less loose competition I would think this is a 3 bet. Do I just call? Do I 3b to a much larger size?

When open raising in super loose games should I be raising much larger than the standard open size? If I open to 15 with KK's in EP I'll probably be getting at least 4 callers. Should I just play exploitatively and raise big with good hands and normal size with less premium holdings?

Depends what you mean by LAG. If he's a moron that punts off with marginal hands I would just call, try to bring limpers along and look to smash flop. If he's loose but call happy and you're comfortable playing a 3 SPR OOP then I'd raise. Mostly I would just fold. Its a little too wide for me with limpers in there too.

I think all 3 plays are possible. If the limpers are ~okish players I could get behind a nitty fold (OOP to decent players, meh). 3betting against a laggy player is going to setup a lot of dicey postflop spots in a very bloated pot OOP; you have to be extremely sure of your postflop play to take this route, imo. If the limpers are meh, I could get behind a lower variance ~nutmining flat.

I call pre but that's just me.

The last thing I wanna do is find myself with king high OOP in a big 3bet pot vs someone who doesn't like to fold.

OTOH, if it was KJo it would be a much harder dilemma.

No, of course not.

Usually when we 3bet pre we don't do it to steal the 15 bucks, we make more money when people turn into fit or fold mode and "defend", then fold either otf or ott. Otherwise it wouldn't make any sense to raise bigger and bigger just tryna win 15 bucks it turns into button pressing.

You're goal, no matter what your hand is, should be to get it either heads up or 3 ways max post flop so if 15 gets too many callers then yes try 20 then but don't bet big just because you have a big hand unless you're sure you're getting a whale or someone to call.
