Stacks would be helpful, but I guess 6400bbs have gone in and it’s still not a shove, so we’re basically infinite BBs deep.

Do you have the blinds and raise sizes right? A 90bb 3b seems like overkill…

I would bet flop harder and x/f turn.

3 flush turns are a beautiful thing because it’s a rare place where bot play is super intuitive. Hands with a club bluff catch and others mostly fold. Having a single card of a suit is a wonderful convergence of approximate mix frequencies, equity and blockers into a very easy to play bluff catching spot.

With a quarter pot cbet and 1/2p float, AK can’t be too far off from a call, but having both the A and K of the back door suit is the worst combo to have.

River is not close.

(No reads are provided and none of us play against this population so I can’t comment on any other reason you might have for wanting to call.)

I don't think there is enough info provided in this post. This game was insane and full of guys who are essentially clueless novices (Neymar, Jimmy Butler, etc), guys who are ultra loose degens giving infinite action (Alan Keating, Dan Bilzerian) and guys who are both at the same time (Ryan Garcia). In order to know how best to play this hand, we need to know who the Villain is and what the stack sizes are.

Can you elaborate

Is this a 20xBB open? 50/100 with no straddle and a raise to 2000?

I assume these games are very soft, particularly for the stakes, but invitation only. Definitely no GTO nerds allowed.

my bad, IIRC, 150k eff to start

if someone could add that to the op that would be great

It blocks Axhh and Kxhh hands that would float the flop, and once the turn comes in a different suit it’s not doing anything for your equity

Is today “everyone posts a hand that isnt theirs day”? Who gives a ****?

Is today “everyone posts a hand that isnt theirs day”? Who gives a ****?

i left out names bc everyone just assumes everyone is terrible and i didn't want any preconceived notions, i was interested in the line, it comes up often in 6max. They were 7 or 8 handed that night but 5 handed when this hand took place.

co opens, bb 3bets, co calls.

blank flop and we miss with AK.

cbet/call

brick turn

to dbl brl or not?

i think in a 2bp i'm barrelling often but in a 3bp it's less likely i'm being floated by less than a pair OTF. usually opponent has 77 or 88, and tt or jj in a 3bp with this line and texture.

What do you think, Tomark?

also, still hoping someone can add "150k effective" to the OP, tyty

Can't you just give up turn here? We can't win every hand. We block everything we are targeting to fold in suits like someone said already. We even lose to some nonsense JT

I think this spot is such a classic conundrum because it’s the comeuppance of how you’re playing the REST of your range.

Mix in more 99/T9s/A9s in your 3! range so you don’t have blank overs so often, check more strong hands on the flop and/or turn so you’re not such a sitting duck you’re forced to call down with A-high no blockers, don’t barrel off your high equity hands so blindly that you can’t barrel some of your purer air, etc.
