NL2/3. AhKc turn bet size and more

8-handed.

UTG: $200. Unknown but on loose side.
LJ: $280. Quiet Asian about 50 years old.
BU: $800. Probably plays bigger game and 3-bet once at LJ vs U2 open with QTs.
Hero: $600.

UTG limps. I raise to $18 next in. LJ calls. BU calls. BB and UTG call.

Flop ($84): Ks9s4s
I cbet $35.

In retrospect, i think flop cbet 1/3 or 1/4 is better, given the mono flop and multiway.

Only LJ calls.

Turn ($154): Kh

How much to bet turn if betting at all?

75

Stack size is akward on the turn. I think if we bet 75 we have to more or less call off a jam given odds.

I was initially thinking jam, but random kings are calling and you don't fold out much that's ahead of you. Perhaps JJ, TT, A9.

I think I check turn.

How do we feel about checking flop instead of c-betting?

Yeah I'm calling a raise, we're under 100 BB's so if he flopped it he flopped it and yeah 5 ways being monkey in the middle it's fine to check otf but if it checks through and the turns another spade then we're SOL.

1/2p lead and stack-a-donk line both seem good to me.

Thanks to all!

When LJ calls flop, I put him on a range of

Flush and draws: AsB, AsXs, KsQx,KsJs-9s, QsJs-9s, JsTs-9s, Ts9s, 9s8s, 8s7s, 7s6s (B stands for Broadway cards)

Pairs + draws: TTs, JJs, 88s, 77s

Sets: 44, 99

Top pairs: AK. KQ, KJ, KTs

On turn I made a $40 bet. The number us so weird that even confused myself. LJ jammed and I?

If you agree that call the allin is fine. Then at what stack size of LJ you would consider folding AK here?

I think it's fine. Calling off now, expect boats and flushes more often than not but probably just about a +EV call with nut flush draws in there and perhaps some worse Kx. If you think he rarely jams Kx or draws then it might be a fold. Assuming action so far was identical then LJ 400+ stack might convince me to fold

I limp in but that's me.

I check the flop and evaluate.

Overall I don't think we should be working towards commitment against LJ's stack thanks to ~ok IO we gave him preflop, so I think I lean to checking turn.

ETA: Interesting spot as played. I'm not so sure boats take this line. Kx might and flushes could. Another reason to not bet the turn is that we really don't want to face a jam and possibly have to fold our boat equity. I'm too lazy to math but I'm assuming we're not remotely close to getting odds to boat up... although sometimes we are ahead. Gross, imo.
