1/3: Top pair in big 3bet pot
1/3, Vancouver, Saturday afternoon
Hero has $500 and all other players have more.
VillainA (MP) (45W/m, 25/20) opens to $15
Hero (LJ) calls with KQhh
VillainB (CO) (25A/m) calls
VillainC (button) (40W/m, 25/20) 3bets to $75
VillainA calls. Hero calls. VillainB calls.
Flop ($304): Ks 9h 3d
VillainA checks. Hero bets $120. VillainB and VillainC fold. VillainA calls.
Turn ($444): 4h
VillainA checks.
What should you do? Is a shove warranted? Should H have bet the flop? Should H have called pre?

sorry hand seems like a trainwreck and is a mirror image of how fish play (too loose pre, face up postflop).
unless MP is a nit, 3bet pf. if hes a nit then just fold pf.
after you call pf, never call the 3b pf here. you are torching money doing so. you have to be at least $1000 deep to call here, maybe deeper, so you have fold equity vs. AA.
as played dont donk the flop (whats the point?). and as played check the turn.
villains most likely hands here are sets or AK. after checking turn im pretty much done with this hand if he bets anything more than like $200 on the river. if he bets smaller than that then probably call and pray you see KJ or KT because thats all you can beat.
Pre I think 3-bet or call are fine. Definitely calling the 3-bet as played.
I would not lead the betting 4-way in a 3-bet pot as a PF caller with the OR still to act, so I have no idea what to do now. Probably bet again? Not sure we want to go for 3, but 2 seems reasonable.

Yup...the Solver agrees that PF should be raise or fold, and it turbo folds to the 3-bet.
Fold KQs to an open raise? What solver is this?
I can see reasons why we might not want to call the 3!
Not sure why I got the meme when my “no idea what to do” has to do with the post flop lead before the 3 bettor has acted.

if your hand is good enough to call in this spot you should be 3betting to get absolute position, initiative, and postflop fold equity.
I understand why you want to 3-bet, and I would do that more often than not, but I don’t think flatting is losing money.
