$1/$3 Line Checks after 2.5 yrs of only PLO
Coming back to live hold'em for a 2025 prop bet after 2.5 years of playing thousands of hours of live PLO. Posting here to get berated into getting back in shape. In every spot, we are 9-handed, and you can assume the position folded if I don't mention it preflop.
1)
UTG $15
UTG+1 (HERO) $45 w/ AcQs
BU ($725, the effective stack) cold calls
UTG calls
Pot: $139
Flop J86 one club
UTG checks
UTG+1 bets $50
BU calls
UTG folds
Pot: $239
Turn J86c 4c
Hero checks
BU bets $125
Hero folds
Should we lead for $50 3 way on flop?
In hindsight maybe I can check because I dont have as many nutted hands on this dynamic board (sets) as villain when I 3b. JJ of course but my opponents have all the 66 88 and JJ that elects to cold call instead of 4b. I don't this player has any 57 combos when cold calling but I couldn't find an A high call here on turn. Also have Ac blocking a AXcc combo he could've cold called with.
2)
In another hand I 3b UTG+1 w/ AQo from LJ. UTG+1 is probably raising optimally - pretty tight. Is this 3b just a slam dunk?
3)
UTG+1 call $3
CO call $3
SB (Hero, $575 effective) with KJcc raise $20
UTG+1 call
CO call
Flop 4QJchh
UTG+1 checks
CO (fun player) overbets ~1.5x $95
SB folds
UTG+1 folds
Just a laydown on this flop I think vs. villain. In general I don't think the population is overbet bluffing flops. Big 3b sizing ok in SB?
4)
$6 BU straddle. SB limp, BB limp (action starts in the blinds in Texas if there's a BU straddle). Limps all the way around to HJ (Hero) with QJss - fold? Smallest stack of the limpers so far is UTG+1 with about $240 behind. Thought I had 0 fold equity and a huge size would be a mistake with no folds and people still behind
Thanks for taking the time to respond, and I'm hoping you have a great 2025!

I was going to say stop 3-betting AQo, until I realized you are in Texas. Still, pretty optimistic to 3-bet it in UTG+1.
Hand 3, good fold. Hand 4, overlimp.
I wouldn't 3! AQo in either situation, but stay can't be that bad.
H4, QJs is a good hand facing only limps. Raise > limp > fold.
would not cbet flop but i think id bet the turn w aq w Ac in h1
aqo probably too light to pure 3b early opens esp if u dunno what ur doing yet post
id fold KJcc but could very easily be talked into calling vs alot of people, probably villain dependent (only reason to consider imo is the bdfd), dont mind range bet small on 2 bway texture vs 2 limp callers
i think i like limp in h4
