5/5 N/L Monster v Monster Min-click line check
5/5 No limit $1,030 effective
Villian is definitely a recreational player. Playing too many hands.
Folds to V on BTN who raises $25
I am quite concerned as this is a big raise for the BTN at these stakes.
H Ad Jh in SB
H raises to $100, Btn quickly calls
Flop ($205)
Ah Jd 2s
H checks, V checks
I am not sure what range to out him on, coukd be weak ace, Broadway w gutshot, 2nd 3rd pair.
Turn ($205)
8h
H bets $200
V raises $400
I look at V and I have a bad feeling about this. I consider folding, but end up reraising all in for value with my remaining $730.00.
BTN snap calls.
Reasonably or optimistic at these stakes.

If Villain is raising to an abnormally large sizing preflop, you can just fold AJo here. I like the 3bet against a normal size open though.
I think I would just bet flop. I don't think you are going to see Villain stab very often on this board. You might even see weak AX hands check back here.
Minraise IP against a really big turn bet is super strong. I don't really think you can fold here though. There just isn't that much you are losing to - basically just one combo of JJ and 3 combos of 88. There are 4 combos of AJo that you chop with, and 2 combos of A8s which might play like this. I don't think it's impossible that a recreational player is overplaying AK here too.
I guess shoving makes more sense than calling, since this never a bluff and you don't want Villain to check back river with something more marginal.
If this is an abnormally big size for v, just fold pre, maybe call if you have a big edge. It's a little crazy to know that villain is telling you he is way too strong pre but then you 3b as pretty junk hand vs him. Our hand might be a 3b vs a normal btn open if v only had 1 raise size, no open limps, and isn't super tight. But vs the actual range he has, our hand is just a fold.
I don't see a lot of value in checking flop. You are fairly deep, but you can get stacks in if you start with a 1/4 or 1/3 pot bet on the flop. IE, bet 50 flop, bet 250 turn, and jam river 680 into 805. People will underbluff an A high flop if you check. And underpairs to the J are probably only putting in money when they bink a set on the turn. I don't mind bet flop check turn as much because I think that spot is overstabbed.
Traps are okay when people bluff a lot, but most people don't bluff a lot, so traps are normally not great. That said, if you're going to trap, I would rather have a hand like AA that is less vulnerable and blocks his calling range. Even then, I like betting flop small and maybe checking some turns.
I think turn as played is fine. I think he could overplay AK here.
If you're going to ask for advice, don't give us your final action. You should have ended the post after villain raised you on the turn. Once you say villain snap called, you can throw all unbiased advice out the window.
I just fold pre-flop. As played, I don't think there's much else you can do except flat his turn min-click and see a river. I'd need a feel for him at the table.
I think the title and overall tone of the post are spoilers that are going to color the feedback.
I 3b here if villain's raise is 30%+. I can't really tell from reads if that's the case, so I'll leave it up to you to judge.
I personally don't have a check range OTF, and top two is going to be a majority bet regardless of what strategy you're employing here. I would pure bet this combo against a recreational barring some tell that wasn't included in OP.
Only reason I'm concerned about getting stacks in OTT is because it's obvious you lost this hand. Otherwise I'm whistling all the way to the graveyard on this one.
I think your pot sizes are wrong unless rake is really high, but anyways as played on the flop I think your good. You have to hate the snap call and you certainly can't charge him to draw if he is indeed drawing. I fear old boy woke up with aces or jacks and is about to get paid off here. I just can't see you being ahead. I am a bit more risk adverse though when it comes to such large pots with pre flop red alerts! I like to be sure I'm good and my red alert was going off from the beginning bet.
