Infrequent poker player
I used to play lots of poker about 15 years ago, now I play once per year in Vegas. Used to be winning aggressive player but my skills are lacking these days. Still like 5-10NL, and find myself outmatched these days.
I don’t play enough to care about working on my game, but want to get your take on some strategy that could be fun. I’m not afraid to lose money and kinda think high variance play should be my ticket.
Would a highly aggressive pre flop strategy in position makes sense? Less opportunity for getting outplayed post flop.
Highly aggressive will all draws and live cards on multiple streets?
What sort of play do you guys hate from inferior players?😀

This is a strat post so I'm going to move it. You are asking about basics so I will move it to low stakes but you say you want to play 5-10 so maybe they will move it.
So you want some advice to help you beat poker in 2025 when you're admittedly too disinterested or lazy to do the work on getting better?
Just drink heavily and play LAG. At least you'll have fun.
Pretty much. Not asking for your judgement on how you and I want to spend our time. Just a strategy question. Best plays when facing better players, and you are willing to play loose.

Asking "How do I beat better players without improving my skills?" is not a strategy question.
If you raise and 3b a lot and start blasting boards that are good for your range (think high cards) you will probably do ok.
Ask yourself why you want to play at all ... that might help you decide how you want to play?
Also why do you want to play 5-10 and not 2-5 or lower?
Like playing 22 is losing in a bunch of spots, but if you get enough joy from hitting sets vs. people maybe that's fine.
Tight short stacks are basically impossible to beat, but at 5-10 it's going to be a problem if you double up a couple of times and are at the only 5-10 game.
Calling way too wide preflop in position and then betting/raising later streets is often cited as annoying.
Going to lock this. It violates our rule of asking for a quick tutorial on how to beat NL.
