How many BBs deep to consider folding AK pre HU

How many BBs deep to consider folding AK pre HU

Against one opponent I have no issues getting it in pre with 100 bigs and AKo

But where is the cutoff where you’d stop and say ok I can’t get it in this deep

Opponent and action dependent, but anything from 150bb and up would be possible imo..

I could maybe find a fold at 100bb but would need history with the villain to get there

It's very opponent dependent. I have folded AKo to a 50bb shove before (nit open to $6, I 3b to $20, nit shove for $100, for instance) and I have also happily 5b shoved for 200bb.

I guess a key difference is also fold equity -- I would much rather shove 200bb with AKo in a spot where I have decent fold equity (and am also likely chopping or flipping when called) than consider calling it off.

V-dependent, as has been said. Also dependent on your roll/risk of ruin tolerance, and image. Most Vs don't 3! or 4! anywhere close to GTO. Vs a 3% range, (which AKo is at the bottom of, FWIW) we're a ~60-40 dog.

I like being the shover with it, instead of the shovee. Assuming most Vs aren't calling shoves where they should. So set up your bet-sizes accordingly.

Live you won't really get a 5bet pot for 100BB very often, but as a general rule I'd cheerfully 4bet shove AKo for 100BB, but facing a 4bet shove and holding AKo I'd happily find a fold pretty frequently in a vacuum.
