AA preflop
1/3 Saturday Night, somewhere in the midwest. Game is 9 handed with mostly regs with a couple of recs, most people drinking.
Hero is the effective stack with slightly over 400 (410 maybe), and peels AhAd UTG and raises to 10 (my standard open with everything).
UTG +1 raises to 30, lojack, hijack and button all call the 30 and the blinds fold, so pot is 134 when action gets back to the Hero.
2 of the tougher players have called the 30.

You've got 3 people cold calling a 3-bet with position on you, its obviously a very soft game. You have about 30% raw equity I'm guessing. Shove and watch one of them call with 66 because of "the price" or because "they knew it was coming"
I think shove is a good play with a lot of hands, but I would prefer to 4bet AA smaller. I guess I would just go $100 here to keep it simple, don't think there is much reason to go smaller with this many players.

I limp in, but at this stack size a small raise is pretty much the same thing.
I think (?) I would shove to rep AK. Like $150 just looks so massively strong, although if we get some "pod odds" calls then I guess ok.

Interesting thoughts about the shove. I will say that someone did something like that earlier, raise 10, raise 30, 300, all fold.
Buuuuttt, that being said, I see the argument for it.
I raised to 130 and all folded.
I think 130 is the worst sizing. It’s the smallest raise that forces them to call a 3-digit number. I would have done 115 or 120 or else I would have just jammed.
The idea that we can jam other hands but not AA is preposterous to me, by the way. If we are jamming KK then we are hoping to get called by the same range of hands we’re hoping to get called by when we jam with AA, no?

I mean you chose the one other hand that might want to 4bet small instead of jam for your example here. What about AKo or QQ or JJ?
But, that said, if we 4bet jam KK and someone folds AQo in this massive pot, they are folding 30% equity against our hand. The same is true for any AX hand (of which there are many). Obviously, we would prefer that they call with AX, but, if they fold, it isn't a disaster. We protect our hand and win 45bb rake-free.
If we 4bet jam AA and someone folds AQo, they are folding 7% equity. That is a big difference.

Depends on the dynamic, are there a lot light 3! and maybe 4!s? But jam does make it look bluffier, IMHO, and might induce a call from someone thinking they're flipping.
