Raise to 250 and offer HJ 2-1 to chase straight draw. We block 65s. Hopefully BTN has 55 and will blast off so we can gii and squeeze HJ out.
I raise. Probably go to 350 or even 400. I don't mind taking it down now, and I want them to pay for their draws. If someone has TT, it's a major cooler.
Wow you guys 3betting this flop??? We only doing this with sets. I don't think 2pairs can 3bet this flop. Don't most ppl fold w/2 pairs v 3bets here? So you only get called by st8draws if its small enough to give them implied odds.
I probably just call.
Might donk most turn small then jam most river if they both flat.
Or if you believe villain will bet turns then check/jam most turns.
I think most ppl w/2pairs slow down on turn.
HJ is repping super strong or repping them st8draws. He will probably flat our small donk w/st8draws and get it in with strong ranges on turn.
Btn range 55 tt, 56, 6ts, and some 78 79 89 semi bluffs. He's probably flatting most small donks of his range besides sets. HJ repping super strong with the overcall.
Of course if both of them are fishes, this type of reasoning is nonsense just get it in on the flop.
I might flat heads up, but with two players in the hand and about 350 in the pot, I'll take it now. It's going to be tough to get more money in on the turn unless we are behind 😉
I think just jamming is best. You aren't that deep and clicking it back just looks stronger imo.
Keeps draws in maybe, but do you really want give a hand like 78s super good odds to spike.
I think we have enough value targets there and people can def sometimes just level themselves into calling with hands like AT even.
Hmmmm... unusual spot, going 5 ways to the flop, betting a set on a T-high rainbow board after the PFR checks, getting raised by the BTN, and having the HJ call after first checking through. May be worth trying to figure out the ranges here. Do we have any reads on BTN or HJ?
Assuming we know nothing about our opponents, I would think HJ would bet TPTK+, at least some of the time, so he more than likely is capped at a weak TP or a draw. BTN could have 87, 55, or perhaps Tx.
I would think we have the best hand here nearly 100% of the time, and I wouldn't be too concerned about draws coming in on the turn, when we can still improve to a boat. If we 3B here, we're basically announcing that we have at least 65 or a set, and very likely we'll only get action from 55.
Then again, I don't really like slow-playing vulnerable hands multi-way. The BTN's raise size is a bit small, like he wants to give himself a free river card. Since HJ called, BTN may feel like he's getting too good a price to fold if we raise small.
Yeah, I think we need to raise. I want to be able to jam turn for a size that lays too good a price for an opponent to fold, but isn't so small that there's no fold equity at all. Since we only started 800 eff, if we go $300-$350, I think that would be a reasonable size. We'll have less than 500 left, and the pot will be over 1300 when we jam.
