1/3 vs Maniac, whats the plan?
1/3 home game 9 handed
This is the 3rd session vs villain.
1st session, villain was wild, opening 25-30$ about 40% PFR with ATC. 3betting me light with trash as well IP and OOP.
He plays his marginal hands like a station. Fastplays his monsters, bluffs are kinda played similarly. Thin value bets river and bluffs are similar as well. Draws not sure if he raises with them, but he bets or calls with them for sure.
HH1
Hero opens to 20 in Co, Villain flats in the blinds, flop A27r, Hero cbets 15, V x/r to 80 H folds, V shows complete air.
HH2
V opens to 25 in EP, Hero flats w/33 in MP, 2~3 more callers.
Flop T82cc, all checks
Turn 3, V bets 25, Hero raises to 125, all folds, V calls.
Riv 5 V donk 400????, Hero calls, V shows ATss. I understand he pot control on flop, but river donk???
Anyhow, because he was so wild and crazy, everyone was paying him off when he hits.
Eventually he toned down his aggression, and turned into a bit of station postflop.
session 2 ~ He toned it down 95%. He was no longer super crazy, wasn't opening/calling that much preflop neither. Eventually, he opened in EP w/97o, flop 772 he cbets, 2~3 callers behind, turn 9, he check/ship double up and leave. Very short session, only like an hour or two.
This session, hero only just sat down for a few hands, but V already played 1 hand to showdown.
V in EP opens 25 w/9Jo, MP calls
Flop K23r, xx
Turn 9 he bets 25, Mp calls
Riv 5, he bets 55, Mp calls and mucks.
Actual hand
Effective stacks 500(villain has like 1100+)
Hero in UTG limps 99 no clubs
Mp opens to 20, V in sb flats, Hero squeezes to 80, MP folds, V calls.
Dream like scenario, heads up with the crazy maniacal fish.
V range is super wide if we assume he plays like session1. If we assume he plays like session2, his range is a bit tighter to pp and suited connectors, some broadways, some Axs. And no villain never has premiums, he fastplays those.
Pot 183
Flop AT6cc
V checks Hero?
Whats the plan now?
Yes we'll try to get to showdown cheaply.
