Pocket 7's vs Aggro V

2/5$ hero 2200$
V 3800$
Loose very aggressive player mid 30's white was talking about taking Larzapam some kind of psych meds at the table did not show down very often but has been a little streaky. Have not really figured out his full range yet after two hours not many show downs, but thinking pretty wide. I do have a decent read on him for when he has it and when he doesn't only saw him bluff off twice he mucked when they called.

Hero HJ 7d7c
V MP

folds to Action MP V open 15$, Hero makes it 45$ folds to V1 who calls

board 8h, 6d, 9c rainbow (97$ pot)
V opens to 55$, Hero calls
V looked worried after I called
turn 8s (207$)
V fires again for 125$ Hero calls
V looks incredulous at this point and I am sure he has air.
river Qc ($457)
V's demeanor changed I didn't see the card until after he bet I was gauging his reaction his worried look some what changed but not by much.

V counts out 250$ slowly put it in... Hero??

Do you think he's over-bluffing or under-bluffing here?

If you think he's over-bluffing, call. If he's under-bluffing, fold.

I don't see how you're going to logic your way through the action to come to a decision with 4th pair when he goes 60%-60%-60%.

Don't know what to make of "looking worried". He could have AA and be worried you flopped 2P+. And yet, as worried as he may look, he donked out on the flop, and went bet-bet-bet.

Think I might have raised his flop donk. Even a min-click. When we just flat call, we're guessing for the rest of the hand.

If you thought he was weak on flop/turn, why not raise?

You have a read, use it.

Can you share your rationale for the 3bet preflop? Personally, I would much rather 3bet ATs/KQs kind if hands this deep vs this villian.

This hand plays better as a flat call than a 3!. If you call, you might get it multiway. Even if someone else 3!s and the raiser calls, it is better playing it multiway.

I assume he knows that board is better for his range, which is partly why he leads. I don't see what raising the flop accomplishes.

River is read-dependent. Probably call, as you only need to be good 30% of the time. Not sure what he is representing. He might not bet a 9 on the river with the Q hitting and your line looking like an overpair.

Hero calls V shows KQ

Ouch. You had a read on flop and turn -- you should have followed them instead of ignoring your read on the river 😉
