ATs Priced in Versus Nit?

V1 is a maniac and we have been battling hard. And by battling I mean him winning every hand.

Main V2 has played one hand in the hour hero has been at the table and it was for an overlimp in the co. Hard to judge how nitty he is from 30-40 hands but he’s definitely very tight.

1-2 NL 100-400. Hero has 400, V1 covers, V2 has 70

V1 opens utg to 6, hero 3b with ATs to 25 in mp. V2 jams 70 from HJ and it folds back to hero.

Snap call?
You've commited over 1/3 of your stack. 45/149 = 0.302 = you only need 30.2% equity to break even. Which you probably have enough with just the A alone.

Think I'd just flat call the open when we're IP vs the maniac and only have ATs. As played, we can't fold for another $45. Here's hoping we're flipping, or somehow ahead.

3bet seems fine, after that it seems more of a sigh call than a snap call.
Even if V is shoving only JJ+,AK,AQ we are still so close to break even it's not funny.

If V is shoving KK+,AK,AQ I think we are still losing less than a SB.

Depends on how we range V. My first impulse was fold. QQ+, AK; H is a 29% dog. (And making it AKo or AKs isn't that much different.)

45 to get 100-ish plus 45, we need 30-31%. Closer than I thought.

Call then, if only to maybe bust the shortstacking nit and get a seat vacancy for some better money.

The opener's raise and the blinds have basically disappeared down the rake and jackpot slots, if this is a typical 1-2 nowadays. Actual pot odds are not as good as previous replies claim.

I'd definitely call for an equivalent number of units in a 5-10. I think this spot is less than breakeven due to the rake.

The mistake is not having a plan and 3betting a guy with a 70$ stack.

What was your reason for 3betting?

As a bluff, for value or just clicking buttons?

Now call.
