Small flush and bet sizes

5/10, ~4K effective.

V1 is a pretty good player, capable of thin value bets and big lay downs. We have some history and respect each other. I doubt he would try big bluffs against me.

V2 is also a decent player, but have a marginal role in the is hand.

OTTH
Folds to V1 who raises to 30 OTB.
V2 calls on the SB.
H overalls with Tc7c on the BB. This would be standard if we were HU, not sure 3way.

Flop (~90): Qs9c8c
V2 checks
H checks
V1 bets 50
V2 calls
H raises 200
V1 hesitates, asks me how much I have behind, then calls.
V2 folds

Turn (~540): 4c
H bets 250
V1 calls pretty quickly.

River (~1000): Jh
H bets, question is how much...

Feels like bet-fold is the right line here, and we don't want to bet so large that we're committed to calling off a raise, nor so small that we're inducing a raise. We've got like $3500 left and the pot is around $1k, so maybe bet around $800, if we don't think he's capable of jamming worse for value or as a bluff.

There's really very few smaller flushes in his range here, so we are targetting random tens, 2 pair and possibly sets (though I think a lot of times sets reraise flop on wet board).

I think I'm just going 500 here. I think it's a pretty trivial fold to a raise given we don't think he bluffs here.

Pre is fine.

I tend to bet big with this combo because it's not strong enough to get a ton of value on the raise branches. $750 or whatever.

You can have fun with blocker bet traps or (maybe) x/jams with stronger combos.

I like the flop xr - OTT I would bet bigger. I think we want to bet like 400/500 on the river - would be hard for a set or straight to call say 800 and he will have better flushes some % of the time.

Maybe I'm crazy here.

If villain is capable of thin value, is he capable of check/raising a st8 here vs a small bet?

If he is maybe bet like 250 and even get all value from 2pairs/sets and call all raise.

If he isn't capable, then maybe bet huge, his turn call timing indicates of weakness. If he had a flush he would've tank a little bit more.
So my sizing for him being not capable and targetting all his random tx is an overbet.
