2/5: Flopped bottom set on very wet board
2/5, 8-handed, late on a weekday night.
Hero ($500) opens to $20 with 6h 6d from UTG.
Only Villain (35yo white male, 25/10) on button ($300) calls.
Flop ($47): 8s 7s 6c
Hero bets $35, Villain calls.
Turn ($117): Jc
Hero bets $110, Villain shoves.
What do you do?
Should H have checked flop? How to proceed then?

We lose to sets/st8s
We beat 2 pairs/combo draws/bdfd
Villain only has like what 150ish left. We have outs if villain has a st8. We only drawing nearly dead if he has sets.
Definitely calling here unless the villain folds his arms, leans back, and makes a speech. If he has T9, you can still bink a full house
Any other reads on V would help.
Don't think I could find the fold, as played.
HU and OOP as the PFR, we could check here, to let V stab at the pot, so we can put in an obnoxiously large check raise. We could also c-bet for a slightly smaller size, like half pot, though I don't think the larger c-bet size used here is a big mistake. Occasionally I might really deviate with an over-bet.
The Jc on the turn doesn't change anything, since T9 was already a straight. It just adds a BDFD. With such a draw heavy board, V is going to have so many potential bluff and worse value combos that will take this line. Even if we're behind, we still have around a 20% chance of filling up on the river.
Just flick in the call and hope our hand is good and holds up.
For 100 bigs I’m calling all day. Don’t love it but never seriously considering a fold.
Villain's jam isn't much more than a min-raise, you have to call it off.
easiest call ever
He's 300 eff and you opened 4x ...He could show me the 9♠ and I would still get the money in.
Very easy call
Snap call. Not enough left in V's stack to fold, and we are probably good, regardless.
