We flop nuts vs tilted player?
1/3 5 handed
Tbh, I'm not completely sure if he's on tilt or just changing gear short handed. But he's down at least 800 losing multiple 'medium' pots in a row.
Villain normally plays nitty 9 handed, he changed to laggy style 5 handed. Opening 50% to 20 each time. Cbetting a bit much but not much follow up turn bets.
Has seen him tonight open/c3b ip, float to 1/4 cbet(30) on j63, then turn 3 bet 120 when checked to then folds to 300ish shove.
Hero normally has tight image, never played a hand vs villain headsup in over span of 5+ sessions, he folded to all my 3bets each time except this one.
Effective stacks 380
V in Co opens to 20, Hero in bb with Q♣Q♠ 3bets to 80.
V calls.
H asks for his chip count he said 300ish left.
Pot 161
Flop Q♥5♣8♦
Hero?

I don’t like asking about chip stack, that’s lazy, you should always know the stack sizes at the table. When not in a hand, I’ll get up and walk around the table to see, if someone’s hiding their stack. You might disagree, but that’s how I feel.
I think you have to check now and hope villain catches up, because after asking for a chip count, he’s going to fold if you breathe on the pot. It’s hard to get value out of position.
If you truly feel villain is tilted, you might just bet big or shove & give him the feeling you’re trying to make him go away. He’s could be inelastic and call if he thinks you’re up to something.
Always happy to be in a situation like this, but never sure how to get the most value. Very interested in others opinions of this spot.
$40 or x planning to call rather than raise. I guess I probably x since we're not deep and he has to fold often when we bet. Like he probably doesn't have any sets here, overpairs unlikely, AK folds, we block AQ.
if hes playing laggy then c/c
I ended up cbetting 35, V calls
Pot 231
Turn A♠
Hero???
I was planning to check most turns to villain, but this card is one of the worst cards for villains range to bluff.
I don’t think so. It’s still a mind game and your check indicates that you don’t have an ace. Even if villain doesn’t have one, he might see weakness and claim the ace to try & bluff you.
You’ve already done a great job of getting value OOP. Maybe villain will call another small bet, but he’s not going to catch up with you. You’ve had a good feel for this spot so far, but these seem like the best options.
