Game was short handed and then I decided to play and a few other newbies decided to play so now we have a halfway decent 2/5 game.
V - Have seen her a few times. MAWW. I've seen her take some huge bluff lines. She's fairly tight VPIP pre usually.
HH - V opens EP 5 handed 74s, Whale in SB 3-bets 53s to 50, V 4-bets to 185, whale calls, 7-5-2-K-Q checks all the way down. V wins with a 7.

One limp EP to H in HJ who sees K♣ J♠ and opens 15 off 1400$ effective. CO loose passive calls, V calls BB, limper calls. 4-ways 3rd to act.
Flop 60 - A♣ J♣ 5♣
V checks, limper checks, H bets 20, CO loose passive calls 20, V x/raises to 100, limper folds, H pauses and calls, CO folds. HU IP.
Turn 280 - 4♠
V barrels 175, H calls
River 630 - Q♠
V checks... we have 905 back, V covers

Btw, your math is a bit off. If you only have 905 behind, then it's 1200 effective. If it's 1400 effective then you should have 1100+.
If we check we lose. I’d overbet jam, rep the nuts.

I just saw this. I'm checking back the river -- she's not calling with worse, and I doubt she's folding better.
FWIW, if I'm going to put pressure on her, it's on the turn.
I don't like betting flop. I'm definitely not bluffing a loose passive fish on the river either. And finally, open more pre.

So it really means you were clueless on your opponent.
Turns out she was overvaluing tpnk on a monotone board.
Or maybe she got some specific read on you, knowing you're FOS on the river when you jam.
So I guess we can go thinner for value next time.
Now imagine your hand was set/2pairs/small flushes, we probably not shoving river vs normal opponents, vs her it becomes an easy shove now.
PRE - fold or raise bigger. Nobody is folding anything playable when you make it $15 over a limp at 2/5. Go $25 or don't bother.
FLOP - just check it back. If you're going to bet, bet smaller, no more than 1/4 pot. We kind of hate getting raised, and we can start a bluff with a big turn bet if the flop checks through.
TURN - meh, I guess call when we're IP and getting these pot odds, but I could see folding. We're getting terrible implied odds, assuming no one is calling if we make our hand on the river and bet big.
RIVER - I'd think any value-sized bet is going to look more credible than a big over-bet. Sort of that paradox of small stakes bet sizing. A big bet is going to look more bluffy and get called more than a small, milky-looking bet. I might bet 2/3 pot and pray for a fold.
What are you representing, calling the turn and shoving the river? It doesn't make any sense. The Q is close to a brick.
i wouldnt always bet flop but if you do i don't see any other option on any street

I think that fish way over-call on monotone flops because the bluffs are very apparent to them. I agree with Doc that pre should be a raise to $25 or more, or a fold, and I would also check back the flop a lot.
As played, I like the shove and I wouldn't be too bummed that you ran into a whale without a fold button. If you play with her often, make a mental note and avoid bluffing in the future (and always shove this spot with sets and baby flushes.)
