Top2 vs aggrofish
1/3 8 handed home game
Mushroom game is in played ~ Everybody chip in 5$ initially, whoever in the SB wins a hand gets the reward. Every hand sb doesn't win a hand, btn has to put in another 10$ on top to incentize SB to win a hand.
Because of the mushroom game there is weird dynamic going on.
Current mushroom is just 100$
Effective stacks 1000
2 limpers
Hero in Co limps w/J♠8♠
sb calls
V in bb checks. So he has 0 incentive to win the hand besides the pot in the middle.
Pot 15
Flop J♣8♣2♣
V in bb leads out 25
folds back to Hero?
Are we calling or raising?
Sb has yet to act. Sb is a huge nit, if he raises even with the mushroom I will snap fold.
V is a huge aggrofish. Will call preflop huge opens with trash, will call big bets down to get to river. Once he gets to river he even overbets with bluffs/monsters/strong hands. So he often gets paid when he hits the river.
He opens loosely preflop as well.
His flop betting range sometimes strong sometimes weak. Since it's a limp pot, 25 to him is very small probably doesn't consider it as an overbet probably his standard bet.
Hero has a tight image but has gone crazy aggro vs V when H was in sb two times. Has to show cards to win the incentives.

Had to research mushroom game - seems fun!
I think you have to raise maybe $70. Players will put you on the flush and likely fold. You canβt afford to just call and let villain(s) draw cheaply on this board.
You fold now for sure if sb re-raises because of your read and probably shut down if they call. But if sb folds, it sounds like you stand to win a lot from the aggrofish. By raising his donk, you take over representing the flush after his stab. Who knows what happens next, but you should be able to outplay him.
Call flop keep him in. If we raise and he continues we’re often flipping or worse.
We’re in position, he has more to worry about than us.
Just flat call and see what develops.
Spoiler
We flatted in game
Turn 6c
V continues barreling for 75
We fold.
V shows Q9o, with 9 of clubs. He was drawing clubs+gutshot on the flop??????
In game I didn't think much of this hand, afterwards I realized I was autopilotting in game. I was also playing very passive in game not fighting for much pots besides the 2 mushrooms earlier. I was bleeding down by mushrooms + db plo bomb pots every orbit.
Calling is like "standard" on flop.
But vs this specific opponent we probably need to take him to valuetown each and every hand for big bets/raises.
Only spot we ever bluffing on is like river vs him, other streets we need to extract max value.
Best hand he has is like flushes, but rarely has suited Ax because he probably opens with those. So his best hand is like a weak flush type hand. He doesn't even have sets in his range. Then he probably has alot of single Ax clubs, Jx with clubs type hands.
Imagine we raise flop big to like 100, if turn is a blank we continue betting big for like 200+, he continues calling.
Only street we worry about is on river where he donk huge with bluffs. Although he showed a few big bluffs on river. But majority of the time he has them when he bets huge and we were showing massive strength on flop+turn. He doesn't go crazy every single time, he does give up a good amount. Although others impression of him is never giving up.
If he can still donk out big bets as bluff on river then good for him.
