K9s in BB gets equity on the turn
1/2. 225 effective. 6+3 rake promo.
Hero just sat down and watched V for five hands.
V open-limped and limped-called in the first three hands. When the dealer asked him to get off his cell phone, he apologized and said he was texting his granddaughter. “How old is your granddaughter?” I asked. “Thirteen” he said. “Isn’t texting at the table and gambling setting a bad example?” I asked. “She likes to play along” he said.
On the fourth hand, he won a huge pot after limping 4-way with 8Jo. This is the fifth hand. He’s counting his chips and pretty flustered.
OTTH
V open limps in CO. BTN limps. Hero calls with Kc9c in the BB.
Flop (4): Tc8d2h
Check, check.
Turn: 6c
V bets 10. Hero?

I think I'd like to bet turn myself.
As played either call or raise. Both have merits imho.
He probably doesn't have much Tx since flop was checked thru, he probably has some 87/89/67/69/56/8x, some clubs+combodraws, some 66/97/68, some random 45/57/7x/9x.
Unless he's uber passive, majority of his range is probably on the weaker side. Only very few are strong/nutted.
But most are continuing to see a river. So even if you make a raise, you'll need to follow thru whether you hit or not. So variance goes way up if you do decide to raise.
The lower variance route is I guess we can call then donk some rivers but which one to donk and what sizing is the question.
Overall I rather bet myself on this turn. Whether he calls or raises give me a bit more idea of his range. Also river we can bet again with the betting lead.
All of these are just random guesses.
You should have a slight idea of Villain's plays. Was he uber passive with his bets/raises. How does he size his bets/raises in the limp pots you've seen?
I assume Villain is the older side, so maybe villain is on the more passive side? What was the exact hand history that he won a big pot with?
If he's very passive, then he could be only betting only value hands Tx, 68/79/66 and maybe even slowplayed flop like 22.
Against such villain/range, we better just calling and donking only when we hit.
Call
You have too much equity to fold and not enough in the pot to semi-bluff.
Sorry. Scratch this hand, wrong bet and position. I will repost shortly with corrections.
