$2/$5 Awkward SPR Pre
$2/$5 Rural casino, $500 cap
H: HJ $560 MAWG, has been the most active player at the table. Probably seen as LAG.
V1: CO covers, MAWG has been 3! me occasionally, but tightens up and plays ABC post flop.
V2: SB $125. 30 something Hispanic, Just lost most of his stack in a straight over straight.
H black 88 rfi $25
V1 calls
V2 all in $125 without touching his cards. They were laying as the dealer tossed them.
H 4! to $260?!
Blunder?
Calling seems to invite V1 in with everything. Jamming seems like overplaying. Folding seems nitty. But even in review I don't really know what size is good here. This is why I hate playing shallow.
Thoughts?

Definitely agree with isolating V2.
However, once you put in half your stack, you are committed anyway, so just maximise your fold equity and over-shove (being the pfr, you are uncapped).
Agree with the above. V almost never has a premium here, if he's already been 3-betting you a lot. You don't want to invite a speculative call with overs, as you'll be committed post and V won't. Also, shove likely folds out 99-JJ.
Like they said, stuff it all day.
I also like the shove, because V1 plays ABC post flop and will likely fold. Now, you are way ahead of a random hand with 88.
As played, you may have bet enough to get V1 to fold anyway, so youβre still in good shape. Itβs funny, I feel very confident with 88, but 77 I would lean towards a fold. Iβm not sure if thatβs logical or solver approved.
Thanks all.
I think I like my bet if I was deeper vs V2 and had something like 1.5-2x SPR going to the flop allowing me some room to play post flop.
My thinking in game was that I wanted a size where I was somewhat ambivalent to whether he called or folded something like KQ, KJ, AQ, and I felt that I could take down the pot on the flop a lot if it came out T high or lower and I could represent and bluff off better hands if an ace hit. Made it way more complicated than it needed to be.
The problem is, as Garrick pointed out, my bet didn't have enough juice to fold out 99-JJ. That isn't a problem if I had more behind to play a flop, but V2 tanked and then shoved. I counted out my chips and realized I just couldn't fold. V2 turns over TT and scoops.
It might not have made a difference, but I think that shoving at least puts that much more pressure on 99-JJ and that little bit might have been enough. Sometimes mashing buttons is better than thinking π.
Even though in theory your 4b should be treated as a shove and fold out tens, in practice you leave room for V to think you could fold if he jams, or that you aren’t confident enough in your hand to jam.
Shoving should outperform your sizing.
